This fellow came in the server, played squatting the whole time, in rose, he was at a point one time where he'd kill me, I'd spawn on the other side of him, he'd kill me again, I'd spawn on the other side, and he'd kill me there, too. Over and over again. Instantly killing me.

Of course utdc didn't catch him. I went through the logs, and found this:

Render: D3DDrv.dll / 80D2E3500CE2EB1A6489E1A3F61D4E2C

and it doesn't match what is up there for D3D renderers.

At least I couldn't find it anyway if it is.

So, two questions:

One, is that a legit D3D?

Two, how can I keybind hidden admin to log me in, then have a keybind to get a screenshot when some yahoo comes in and does something suspicious?

Azura
8th September, 2005, 05:00 AM
If it's not in the list, then might as well use it as an excuse to keep someone off a server. If someone has a problem with that, just tell them to get a standard renderer.

Question 2 : http://www.unrealadmin.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9822

Usage
-----

To login as a hidden administrator, enter the following command in the console:
MUTATE HA LOGIN {password}

To get a list of supported commands:
MUTATE HA HELP

Summary of the commands:
LIST = Show list of all players (id, ip, name)
SAY {message} = Say message to all players
SAYA {message} = Say message to all admins
SAYP {playerid} {message} = Say message to a player
KICK {playerid} = Kick player
BAN {playerid} = Ban player
BANCRASH {playerid} = Ban player and crash client
BANIP {ip} = Add IP to banlist
SPECTATE {playerid} = Spectate a player
SPECTATE OFF = Stop spectating
TEAMSAY ON = Start reading all teamsay messages
TEAMSAY OFF = Stop reading all teamsay messages
PAUSE ON = Pause game
PAUSE OFF = Unpause game
CHANGETEAM {playerid} = Moves player to other team
RENAME {playerid} {name} = Rename player
SHOWMENUS {playerid} = Show unknown mod menu items of player
SHOWKEYS {playerid} = Show unknown key binds of player
SHOWACTORS {playerid} = Show unknown actors of player

(key)=MUTATE HA LOGIN {password} | sshot

I think BL was talking about UTDC17 Screenshot.

@<hidden>, Do the UTDC Admin Functions work with Hidden Admin?

Here is how you get the screenshots in from the client before they get a chance to disconnect.

(Your Key)=adminlogin(Space)(Server Password)(Space)|(Space)mutate(Space)utdc(Space)shot

Example:
X=adminlogin serverpassword | mutate utdc shot

Hope that helped

Yes. Thanks both of you. I was talking about getting into hidden admin, then getting a screenshot.

This fellow looked like lamp on a good day, let me tell you. Squat and just let them come to you. I think it was a trigger though, because I could get him once in a while, the booger.

Thanks for the help.

Azura
8th September, 2005, 05:26 AM
*mutate utdc shot
-This will send a screenshot from all players to the UT server or Screenshot server.

*mutate utdc shot <playerid>
-This will send a screenshot from the player with the given playerid to the UT server or Screenshot server.

You can't really bind the second so use the first.

probably best to make a text file and exec it, Ive got 27 different admin passwords in logs through people binding them to a key

PizzaMan

While staying off topic - I dont think there is much point in using that combo. If they have 'admin disconnect' checked they will disconnect instantly, so there is no time to take a screenie and transfer it to the server. Unless of course, someone has tried this and knows it works...

You must remember there can be a lot of checksums for people that don't have cheats, but corrupted files. If you login as admin and about 1/4 a second later they instantly log out then just ban them the next time you see them, because no human can move that fast to hit a disconnect bind.

People like you are the reason players are reluctant to accept new anticheat. It doesn't matter what is logged, you don't do something with it untill it's illegal.

And kicking unknown sums means you abbandon the principal innocent untill proven guilty. You don't know if it's a illegal package or not.

Innocent until proven guilty works in the courts, but in a game, where people run the servers and not a huge political entity, it's not practical much of the time. KB first, then get the story later.

Me? I banned not because of the checksum, but because of experience. The fellow sat and squatted the whole time he was in the server. Not sniper maps, mind you, but run and gun maps.

Find a botter, enter him in your buddy list in The All Seeing Eye, and follow him around spectating, and see if you don't find him doing this. (try several, you'll see it)

i believe this checksum is a hack. I could not find it in the list above.

I was interested to see if any1 had any confirmation on this checksum. I came accross it cause i was in a game )sniper arena( and his bullets were hitting the wall beside me. These bullets about 4 or 5 of them were not the same fire rate as a normal gun/ it was alittle different or faster. It was though a extra bullet or two was in the mix. This happend very fast but i am sure there was too many bullets hitting the wall right by me.. though i wasn't hit as i went into a cave just then.
This along with the players attitude led me to ban em via web admin/ afterward a few players made comments such as they were happy to see em leave.
......I did remember his name and looked it up in the logs. That .ip had no history on the server and seeing that that checksum number was not on the list futher concludes that this checksum it a cheat..Though not 100% sure.

I then went and just hopped right in the server, logged in as admin, mutated the shot, then left, went and looked at the enc, decrypted it, and found that he was not looking at anything of importance at all, no one in sight anywhere. soooo, if he was using a bot that had radar, nothing was visible anyway, if he was using any kind of bot that you can tailor the gui, nothing was visible. Then he left before I could go in. NEXT time, I'm going to try it from spectate mode, dangit. Thanks all. I'll try doing it from a txt file tonight and see what happens. OKAY, I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING, THOUGH:

I'm sorry I highjacked this thread! I wonder if an admin could take everthing not pertaining to checksums and make a new thread out of it and move it to the side? This is bad, and I'm sorry for doing this. I really should have started a new thread.

BLTicklemonster

As long as I'm hijacking:

Blast it all!!! I can put | say lol | mutate utdc shot in there along with adminlogin ourpassword, and I see lol lol on screen, but no login. I can remove the lol and just have adminlogin ourpassword | mutate utdc shot, and still nothing.

What am I doing wrong? It works using the login.txt, but only if I want to say something. If I want to actually DO something, nothing happens. So I know that the P=exec login.txt is working okay, but I can't get adminlogin to stinkin' work.

Now if I log in manually, I can press P and I get screenshots, so that much of it works, too. I just can't get it to log in. (no lol at this point. odd, huh?)

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!!!

mutate ha showactors 4
mutate ha showactors 5

mutate ha showkeys 0
mutate ha showkeys 1
mutate ha showkeys 2
mutate ha showkeys 3
mutate ha showkeys 4
mutate ha showkeys 5
mutate ha showkeys 6
mutate ha showkeys 7
mutate ha showkeys 8
mutate ha showkeys 9
mutate ha showkeys 10

I have this bound with an EXEC command, and my chat logget gets it all for later analysis.

If I think somone is botting, I'll use HA SPECTATE to piggyback his I/O strean, then use DEMOREC to record it for posterity. Even if nothing is on the HUD, getting a kill when aiming at a blank wall is a decent sign something is heinke.

Still wish we could get the client logging working right.

just make the list in such a way that u can safely add all the MD5's without
having to check for doubles.

I got this one:
[UTDCv20c] Altered File.....: Botpack.u
[UTDCv20c] Server Received..: C6DB0AAF0F022DDA75F38A52CF40F722

Can't find it anywhere here, could someone tell me please if is it legit?

Also got a player logged with:
[UTDCv20c] Altered File.....: Botpack.u
[UTDCv20c] Server Received..: CEEE208A250609B0B9862797D6B4E0A3

which is the 432 one, but according to AnthChecker and seeing he can play on a UTDC server he must be using 436...

NM - first one was a corrupted botpack due to a bug that made everyone look like they are standing on one leg (hooray on the option to take screenshots).

I advised the player to reinstall and all is fine now.

Some players have UT installs that are a mix of files from different versions. Which shouldnt be done, so dont allow those files.

I've found some unknown md5sums and asked the player to provide me the files.

The following hashes are legal:
4D06D012582B7306E60CC8E348044140 UTMenu.u
0DF57C7E6ACA31FE18E2ABC66BF4A832 BotPack.u
Both are russian translations of the files from version 451. I compared them to the standard files with vimdiff and only the texts are changed.

On the same user I've found a Core.dll with MD5sum 48F35D4398C38839EF02FBD5193E2C3E which is clasified as unknown. I accidently asked for the Core.u so I hope I can clear this file the comming days.

Files can be shared upon request.

Does anyone have all the MD5s for the Russian version? I have a couple of guys that are trying to play on the server from Russia and UTDC keeps kicking them. I am pretty sure that they are just some MD5s I don't have but want to make sure.

Thanks,

The player sent me a md5 list of his System directory which you can find here (http://www.rork.nl/tmp/System.md5). It contains many mods and I didn't check additional legality of the list.

I found an unknown UnrealShare.u which I think can be whitelisted. The file is available here (http://www.sendspace.com/file/jlmgrt). I have no ideas on the origins of it, neither has the player who sent it to me.

I compared the file against v436, the only official version I'm aware off. There seems to be a variable added to the namechange message and a change in order of the name/index/export tables probably due to recompiling but no further differences.

I include my summary below for this package, underlined values differ from v436, the value between brackets is for v436.

Compare: v436
