View Full Version : AnthChecker v1.38 Female2Voice bug

After several months without playing UT99 today I come back, only to found that AnthChecker v1.38 is kicking me, with the following error
"Illegal file: Female2Voice (possibly hacked)"
...but my file is unmodified, and identical to the ClanBase copy:

(and of course it is identical to the one in the distribution CD, sized 757kiB)

suggest that AnthChecker don't like the non-english distributions of the game (mine is the spanish one)

Please, patch this bug, and keep on the good work :)

Ask the admin to set bKickUnknownSound=false.

Thanks for trying to help, MasterJohnny, but i am afraid it is not a solution for the actual problem. There are too much different servers affected by this bug, and we dont want to accept hacked files, but instead accept only the legit ones...

It looks like Anthrax has blacklisted some legitimate files, surely because he dont know about its existence. Now he has a totally trustworthy source (http://ut.clanbase.com/miscdl.php?did=1262) (clanbase) where he can download the erroneously banned file, to extract the checksum he has to whitelist.

It is not possible to make it easier... Now it is AnthraX turn.

Note that localized versions of UT (other than english) use a different female2voice. I've set bKickUnknownSound to false myself because I noticed it kicked a lot of french players.

I don't use blacklists. The file isn't on the whitelist, that's all. Will add it in v1.39
