hey,
i admin one of those rental deals where just have access to the ftp and wwwadmin. the wait between maps has gotten pretty bad. what i am wondering is if there is any settings in the ini that i can change that might help reduce that time or if this is just a case of the machine not getting enough resources. i am running utpurerc53, zppure53, dotherightthing, & kick idlers.
thanks.

If you are keeping local stats on your server disabling them will shorten your time between maps. You can also disable the external batcher for world stats. You're maps will load quicker but there may be a 2 hour delay before your games are uploaded to worldstats.

NG World stats are crap nowadays (correct?)

I mean it's more offline than online, since MS Zone took over it became crap. But the system might be confusing as well, so many frag counts, time, ect. it's to much for it to calculate propertly :)

Strangely enough NGStats has been rock solid last couple of days ... but for the couple of weeks/month before that it was a bit crap

You can shorten the time.
I know Mapvote 3 has an option for scoreboard delay. UT has a time limit so you can get a good look at the scoreboard, and do a lil chatting before the next map loads.

Problem is without MapVote 3, I dont know how to change it. Id have to guess its in the same area as the screen change messages "Loading" "Connecting" and such.

Easiest way to edit MapVote is to join your server, login as an admin and press your map vote key

Then change the settings in the new admin tab at the end
One of these is for how long before map voting ends (default=60 seconds I think)

I have mines set to 70 sec.
A bit to much maybe, but as TheGame said, it gives you a lil chat, till the time is up, or all votes has been made.

And about "NGStats has been rock solid last couple of days"

Oh really? It might be, but when i wanna see my stats, i have to browse it manually, i know @<hidden> what rank i should look around for.
So it still sucks
Because the search thing doesn't seems to work anymore, any idea why? Is the name list that to big? ???

Maybe this has been asked before -im to lazy to browse- but UT2 has also stats right? called the same? I hope it's better than for UT NG Stats.

Search on NGStats hasn't worked for a while but if you go to a server you were on you can click through that way ... weird

UT2003 has its own internal stats system, hopefully it will have good logging and then people like www.psychostats.com can do really good stuff with it :)

Well, it still is manually, but the server i mostly play on (orange.net dom) is ranked high, so easy find then :)

And a internal rank system, sound good, and tnx for the link, added :)
