Dual Processors / Play and dedicated server?

I have an dual 2000+ machine with 512Mb ram. With Counter-strike I can run a dedicated server and play on that server from the same machine. Is this possible with the free UT2003Server and retail copy of UT2003 ? I have the free dedicated server setup for Lan only but if I start up UT2003 on the same machine and go to lan games the server can't be seen. The game can be seem from other machines. If this is possible please clue me in as to the parramters I should set on local client and/or server. TIA.

I was successful doing that on my dual 1900+ with 1 gig ddr using the ded server that came with the retail copy. I can't say that I had to do anything special, though. Mine is configured for internet play, not just LAN play, I suppose... And it's Linux... ;)

If I set it to internet play I can see the server but I want to be able to do it with lan only as I have an upcoming lan next week with no internet connection (and I only have 56K connection anyway.)

I am also running a dual server and it works fine.
I am running a dual AMD 1.9 Athlon w/ 512 MB Ram

IIS (ASP) and UT 2k3 Server.

I am serving apps up over a cable modem.
