Once they get the WAN IP/LAN IP thing fixed and I can keep my box behind my router, I'd consider running a server. My question is about hardware to do it. I have an old Athlon XP 3200+ w/ 1.0 gig of PC3200. Is this enough to serve a 24 player game?

The beta demo required SSE2 which that CPU does not have so unless they've changed that requirement, your CPU won't run it at all. If it does I think it will have a bit of a struggle with a 24p server in any of the non-vehicle gametypes and I strongly doubt that it will be usable at all for a vehicle gametype.
Mind you, this is all guesstimate so I might be completely off the mark...

Thanx for the reply. Actually, I was able to install and run the server on it via commandline start options. When idle, it only uses about 33 % of the CPU (no players). I am playing on it now (in LAN mode) with 23 bots and it's only using 75 % of the CPU.
