Please help ??? ???
i have 2 servers P4 1.7 with linux 7.3 512 ram on OC192 :thumbup: and wouldnt you know it :O i get the server to run right but i just cant get to join it. :angry:
im new to linux but i have made it this far every thing is set it works but i just cant get into the server though UT. Does anyone know what is the problem????????
god............ my eyes are sore and i think i have read 2 full forums and it looks like no one has seen this problem What is it and how can i get people to be able to join my servers

Whats your server IP?
When you try to join the game are doing it on a machine on the same the LAN?
Have you tried joining a LAN server?

ip is 192.197.109.210 and no my servers are on the other side of Canada im in Toronto they are in BC but i cant join all the other servers just not mine i get the ip.utindex screen and thats all

Tried viewing from a game querier and nothing there
Ping'd the IP though and thats fine
In your log theres the following line
<code>Sockets: I am deathincarnate.com (127.0.0.1)</code>
Is your server NAT'd?
Do you have more than 1 network card in the server?

no i do not belive i have 2 network cards ummm i decided to call my datacenter to make sure no i have 1 net work card and im not behind a Nat'd

I even turned off my firwall so thats not it Guys Im having With Drawls for UT2003 i can play but i have dedicated myself to getting them up on my server

I would Like to Thank you for your time and help. The last post about I AM DeathIncarnate.com might be the problem. it Seems the Data center thought it would be funny to name it I Am DeathIncarnate.com rather than DeathIncarnate.com. re working the servers and they should be up soon. You guys are Great Plz Drop By www.havagame.com and give me a View/Opinion if you have time. It my new Canadian Gaming Portal server rentals/hosting/forums/and much more. Im not officially Launched yet but were growing and the site is almost completed but some of the site is still under Development. If you guys need forums or servers Plz contact me we have free clan hosting/forums available

If that doesnt work try setting <code>-multihome=X.X.X.X</code>
<code>X.X.X.X</code> being the external ip of the machine.

It looks as though I'll have to redo the server and rename it corectly I know i only need to change 2 files but its been a real pain to do the server 4000KM away. :O But i will keep you informed. :thumbup:
Besides i want to BEEF up the kernal to run the games better. :thumbsup: thx for your help and ill keep you up to date and tell you when they are on line. :sigh: so how many servers do you think i can run on a P4 1.7 512 ram ? 60 gig drive :withstupid: 4 or 5 sound good? :thumbup:

Try 2 max :( And I am serious our dual 2.4 Xeon 2Gb ram can do 6 just and thats assuming 10-12 player max per server.

Nope.
The Term "I am" comes from UT.
One of our Server is called "MGS5".
In the Serverlog it says "I am MGS5". So this is MGS5 talking to himself saying "I am MGS5"...
The Problem is your 127.0.0.1 IP-Address. This IP-Address is also "localhost", a loopback to test your TCP/IP-Settings.
You'd better look deeper into your Network-Settings...
When everything is set right, the serverlog should say:
Sockets: I am deathincarnate.com (192.197.109.210)
