My serverprovider refuses to host UT3 due to...

We wait for any decent dedicated server either windows or linux. there is a windows dedicated server release buts thats neither decent nor usable in any system that includes an automatic server start process.

Im a complete server noob and have no idea what theyre talking about.
Is this a legitime reason for not hosting UT3?
Is there a problem with the UT3 server atm?
If yes do any of you have any info if/when it will be fixed?

The gameserverprovider is 4netplayers.de and they host LOTS of other games including all the Unreal games, Crysis etc so they should know how to run servers.

they will probably wait a few patches, i think they aim at the point that there isn't any remote control with it. i.e. webadmin what will be released in the next version. (not not the current beta series, that's still under 1.01 what is currently in beta2, the 1.02 is sheduled to have webadmin)

linux version is still not released, it's windows only atm.
and it can be used in an automated server start progress. they could use a program like firedaemon and select the batch that needs to be executed to run the server

i.e. test.bat

ut3.exe server <loads of flags:
goto top

auto restart when it crashes. but i think their main reason will be.. no webadmin ;)

Ok thanks for answering, ill wait for the linux server then and see if that changes anything.
