View Full Version : Custom MAPS Crash Server

Hello i am running a dedicated custom maps server from a P4 2.4ghz with 1 gig ddr 400mhz ram and radeon 9500 agp card.
I am not useing a batch file , i am useing the retail game and menu to set up server.
My problam is the server pc crash's by freezing every time there is a cutom map change or a map restart, it runs firt custom map without an issue, but crash's pc on change.
I did whatThe map read me said to do: My Documents\ My Games\ Unreal Tournament 3\ UTGame\ Published\ CookedPC\ CustomMaps).
But before i installed maps i noticed the published folder was not displayed on my game files but i could see one called unpulished, so i added the published folder from the rar map file to my UTGame folder
Have i done the right thing ?
What could the problam be does any one have any ideas

Either 1 Move the files to your main UT dir... OR use a command line.. But I don't know if that'll work. Did you get one to work without custom content?

yer retail maps work fine.

Server Admins Note this Trick.

Use your gaming machine and go into UT3 to Multiplayer.
Run the Host game.
There you pick what game. Example Warfare
Add the maps with the ADD button at bottom.
Once you have all the maps you want. Click host.
Then Hit F10 and type quit.

Make a UT3 File in my docs and make a UTGAME.ini backup before you do anything.

Now goto your C:\Documents and Settings\XXXXXX\My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config\UTGAME.ini

Open UTGame.ini
Go down until you see onslaught map list. COPY the link of the maps list and make sure all the maps are there.

Then you will need the Servers UTGAME.ini and pasite it in the same spot.
You will have to restart the server. Then it will show up in Mapvote.
