It's in the autoupdater. It's about 1.8 megs, give or take.

If you don't want to use the autoupdater, here's a quick HOWTO:

1) Get the file(s) you need. The autoupdater does this for you.
2) YOU MUST APPLY EVERY PATCH UP TO 2136 FIRST. The autoupdater does
this for you.

If you don't have 2126 version installed, you must get this file instead!

Cheers!

like rambo said, from a fresh install, doing the update works fine, it will download 2107b, 2126, then the final 2136 patches all for you.

Execute:
/usr/local/games/ut2003_dedicated/updater/loki_update

Watch out, as for the dedicated server version this may fail. If so use the tar.bz2 install routine.

installed and working :) one problem I seem to have is with the webadmin :( am I still supposed to be using the xinetd fix? or removing that and connecting directly?

It was all okay using the xinetd fix until I upgraded at lunch time, now going direct to port 8888 or via xinetd I get broken images, slow loading etc, and complete failure at times.

You should not need the xinetd fix if you would test this and confirm ( I run FreeBSD which has always worked ) then I can update the FAQ

Anyone seeing bizarre numbers of players on an updated server in the server browser? My servers (both production Linux server and my win2k serverI use for testing at home) read (maxplayers/2)/maxplayers under the players heading in the server browser (and in UT2003area php script I'm running as well!), even if less than (maxplayers/2) are on the server... Yep, if no one is on, my 12 man max server still reads 6/12, and my 8 man max test server shows 4/8, even with no one on... I haven't had time to test under anything but BR, so I guess this could be BR specific, but I don't really see why that would be the case.

I did check around and there were a few other servers on the browser that showed this behavior.

Also, does anyone have troubles with the webadmin hanging when switching away from CTF-Face3 or BR-Slaughterhouse? When I say hanging, I mean totally unresponsive, and I can't recover it without taking the server down and restarting it. The rest of the server fuctions works fine when this happens, however, including the ingame admin console commands. This has happened to my servers consistently, even before the patch! I had to take those two maps out of the rotation, which is unfortunate.

I removed the patch from the xinetd.conf restarted the service, and unless my net connection is real bad today I still get the same problems :( Ill check again tomorrow and on the lan tonight, but its not looking good :(

im there ill leave myself logged in and chat l8r when i get home if I dont catch you.

btw is there anyway of telling if the patches have succesfully installed? The updater reported all done. Does it write a new UT2003.ini if so where? It might be me but I seem to have the same memory problem still
I had one player and with nothing else running Im down to 5mb ram left, although memory useage is only 63m by ucc.....256-68 = 188mbs somewhere????? but where and I have nothing else running, its getting a little fustrating

hmmm .. I am not behind a firewall .... Perhaps this is related to another issue I am having ... I had the server up and running .. webadmin was working (with xinted workaround) ... I reboot the box .. and now web admin doesn't work .. I didn't change anything ... Just rebooted ... It fails to bind the port .. According to the faq, this is because I don't have permissions to bind the port .. but I installed and am running the game as root ... can't get more permissions than that??

Thanx for the help, Killing... I wish I had more time to put into this, but it just ain't happenin' at present. :( I did post those bugs to bugzilla.icculus.org, but then posted the caveat once I had done my quickie Win2k test last night that the problems seemed to be OS independent... That may have been shooting myself in the foot, but I guess we'll see...

Killing.....retested my web admin today and it seems fine now, no longer using xinetd fix, just straight in on the correct port. Must of been a bad netday yesterday

thanx for checking into it for me in any case, you can change the tut now :)
