changing/editing nick

Just wanted to know if there is a way to change your User Name or atleast edit and delete a few characters out of it without wiping out all your stats. Think I read that there was a trick you could do in the .ini or something, but that it cleared your stats. Thanks, Infra`.

Nick = GS login name. Changing login name = logging stats under different name. That simple.
