opengl byte hacked :s

Hi apologies if this is in the wrong section , could anyone shed any light on what this means "opengl possibly byte hacked" I got kicked from a Quicknet CTF Insta server while trying out different servers with better pings. Is it a mistake or could my opengl file have been hacked ?

It sounds like an AnthChecker kick message to me. If it is you where kicked because of an unknown opengl renderer. I believe AnthChecker knows every "official" version of the opengl renderer, so to answer your question, yes, it has possibly been altered in some way. But if it's a cheat or a legit altering is hard to tell?

Well if it is a cheat I know nothing about it and I have not altered it in any way , I wouldnt know where to begin Ill just delete it and re-install ver 3.4 and see if it cures it.

Hmm i deleted it and the opengl ini re-installed it and the same thing happened.
You are correct tho here is the full reason:- "you have been kicked for the following reason :Kick type 4 Anthchecker ver 1.38 (build 1) : Illegal file : opengl.dl (possibly byte hacked)

may be a server with a old and no auto-update AnthChecker try to come with http://cwdohnal.home.mindspring.com/utglr/utglr29.zip

I believe some servers still don't accept latest opengl from mindspring. Try the ones in the link that admin gave because that contains the latest versions. You can try a few till you find one that is accepted.

Quicknet has an old version from memory, they need to update its not your fault.

Thanks everyone but to make sure i wasn't labelled a cheat ive re-installed xp and obviously UT . probably seems overkill but i probably needed a fresh start.

Might be a person running Linux using the ogl renderer that was created from Chris' version. I got pegged as a cheater a lot of times on servers by this.
