Thanks, but do I have to go through the entire dedicated server process? I don't exactly want to make it dedicated since it's the same computer I use for home.

Killing directed you to that tutorial because it contains information about which ports need to be forwarded for a server to be available to internet clients from behind a firewall. This would be applicable for listen (what you're running) AND dedicated servers.
