When playing keeps dropping back to Windows

Has anyone else experienced this problem it is very annoying, basically when playing UT2003 the pc will randomly drop back to the windows desktop with UT2003 minimized on the task bar.????
I have had this happen on 2 different machines so far with different architecture.?

Yep, I'd had this happen too. Basically the mouse is not being captured completely, and it's still moving in windows. So, when it comes across anything that renders on the desktop (like a hidden taskbar) it minimizes UT so it can render.

Try this : after double-clicking the ut2003.exe file (or clicking the shortcut) do not click anything else until the game is completely loaded. Usually I have problems like this if I'm clicking around looking at other windows while it's loading.

Thanks I'll try it, has this been reported as an official bug ???? Surely UT2003 once loaded should completely hold the mouse.?

If that is not the problem I have had it happen to me also but it was because Outlook was receiving a new email and UT would minimize when it did that. Shutting off Outlook while I play fixed that.

Yep, that would do it too. Basically anything that would try to get your attention....receiving an instant message in ICQ, anything like that.

Yeah, I even cloased everything down that is running in the background and it still did it, but it seems better now that I leave it alone when it is loading up.
