Well it took me a while but here it is. This is mainly a big stability update but I did fix some other bugs (such as the invisible flag problem) in the process. There are still a few issues (time not updating after seekto is on the top of my udemo todo-list) but this should already be a big improvement over v3.2. Full changelog since v3.2 here:

+ Some functions were not entirely platform independant
As a result of these rewrites, Demo Manager now compiles correctly on Linux. Unfortunately
Linux UT does crash while loading Demo Manager, I am currently trying to track down the cause
but I can't promise that I will get it to work

AnthraX would be cool to get an option that will prevent the auto-recording function to make demos while you spectate.
It's annoying to have demos recorded when you join as spectator only... Something simple where we can tick "Do not record spectator games" would do :)
AnthraX would you also please add that to the next version? Also thanks for the new version, great job you're doing there!

mh thought autodemorec with demomanager would record only for non specs
anyway if pure is installed on the server just use the autorecord that comes with pure, definately doesnt record games as spec

Each time I press on the Start, Auto-Recording, Downloading tabs it freezes ut for a second (It doesn't happen on the Path tab and it didn't happen in the previous version at all)

Great work! I'm very glad that ut99 still gets support.
I have problem with DM, some demos i can view only on 3rd person, because on 1st my view stuck on the first respawn point and turning by player's view but didnt following him, i don't know what cause this

Fixes my problem with the demo manager previously crashing to the desktop on starting a demo, n1 :)
I do get v low fps on my own demo's (recorded with normal demo engine) after a seekto tho, with my logs flooded (4000+) with this block of messages repeated over and over again:

Those errors mean there's some missing objects. They probably account for the low fps.

I installed the demo manager and when I wanted to play the demo of a server contains EUT I get this error:

Yes, demos seem to break with EUT. Will try to fix that today. I'll also add that "don't record as spectator" checkbox and fix the accessed nones that cause low fps.

Thanks for your efforts.
Since you're reading this topic but might not have time to deal with private messages, what do you think of the possibility of adding something to demo manager that interpolates player and projectile locations at low slomo speeds ?
It's for movies so it's not important. Would that be possible ? I mean, it would depend on how regularly ticks update things. Maybe it's nonsense but I was thinking of something along the lines of saving positions at slomo 1 and calculating/correcting locations at lower slomo values.

with this new demo manager, when i record a demo on a v451 server, without pure or utdc. none of the deaths/talking/caps etc shows on screen in the upper left corner, only in the console. is this intentional for v 3.3?

And some more bugs fixed! Killereye, could you send me a demo and tell me how I can reconstruct that problem? I've tested several demos/settings with the latest build and all of them worked fine.

The demo can be found at http://minkeh.net/ke-testdemo.zip . First time when I tried to reproduce the problem it did work, including the timer. All the other times after that it failed to work again though, also the timer shows a wrong time then. Not sure what the difference is between the two times. Maybe it's because I tried another demo first quickly the first time when it worked, but trying to reproduce this didn't work.
I've included the logs when it failed in the zip (both using old 13-07 & the new 17-07 version).
Steps done:
- Seekto 2300
- Togglestats
It also seems to immediatelly go wrong when i just do a togglestats at start.

but the seekto command is crashing ut, after using it twice in a row. i used it to rewind twice.
i have the actual version of the demo manager. and the time is frozen after seekto (forward & rewind)

I can't remember saying that the rewind function was fixed :) I don't know if it ever worked. It is definately broken for UT v4.51 but I've never tested it for UT v4.36 myself.

For the people who can't get demomanager 3.3 to run, you're probably missing some old microsoft dll's. They are contained in this package:

Is this because of demo manager ? I know LeagueAS detects the word "hack" in the package and boots players off.
i just noticed that the pulse beam doesnt fit the position of the weapon model (pulsegun) when watching a demo with weapon hand set to right
It's because of the way weaponshow is reconstructed. Without demo manager demos recorded on utpure servers show a weapon stuck at a randomly fixed angle.

But it is definitely due to demomanager. I have no problems staying connected to nexgen servers unless I am recording a demo.

There should be an entry on the server log that explains what's happening. As for the disconnects while recording, that sounds weird.

I noticed the same a good while ago and to me it looked like a space problem. I think deleting some of the tons of demos that were on my disc fixed it.

For the people who see an empty spot in their modmenu. I recompiled udemo with an older compiler. Just replace the dll by the one in the udemo33_dll_only_rebuild.rar file. Attached to the top post.

but i just noticed demomanager has still no option for clantag recognition in the generated demoname
i always used the feature that is built in pure, cause its able to do this, there was just the bug that it didnt record demos with ][ in the name, and i always thought that its exactly the same script as autodemorec mutator from tnse (http://www.inzane.de/mod/files/cat/3/), therefore i had not tried it out, but surprisingly the mutator does it right
would be nice you or s.o. else who has more time could add the same feature to demomanager so everything is in 1 mod

I'm working on a v3.4 version at the moment (it might take a while before it's released due to other projects though).
Changelist so far:

* [FIXED] Scoreboard no longer rendering after seeking
* [FIXED] Several problems caused by non-standard folder structures
* [ADDED] Rewind support for UT v440/451
* [CHANGED] .NET Framework 1.1 no longer needed
I'll be moving the flag fix to the native side because it can't be done properly in pure uscript. Clantag recognition can also be added.
Other interesting stuff:
* I've been debugging the v4.51b demo playback issue. v4.51b is fully network compatible with earlier UT versions (down till v4.32) but due to new functionality in Core and Engine (UTracing etc) the PackageMaps and ClassNetCaches used by v4.51b demorecorders don't match the ones used by playback clients with earlier versions. I'm not too sure how this is fixed for normal internet play though. The only possible fixes I can see at the moment are to either have udemo load the v4.51b Engine/Core during demo playback or to let udemo log an extra packagemap file during demo recording. Might take a while before this is fixed.

Make sure you edit this line in unrealtournament.ini
DemoRecordingDevice=udemo.uDemoDriver
and set directory in "path" tab, for example D:\Games\UnrealTournament\Demos\

You can define the record path in the DemoManager interface in UT. I find that I have to restart UT for changes, such as new demos to be recognized by DemoManager. Also, make sure you give your demo the '.dem' extension like, 'awesomesnipermonsterkill.dem'

In the process of making a movie, but most of my demos makes MDM crash due to UTDC 2.0c, while rypelcam crashes every time I try to play a demo recorded on a smartctf server.

I noticed trying to download missing files from a redirect will always crash me, do we have any idea why?

AnthraX I would like to say that after all the fine-tuning you made to demo manager it finally became almost perfect, it hasn't been failing me and works like a harm so really great job there and thank you for it!!
Now think about how often players have many GB's of auto-rec demos that are sadly unmarked for good frags, at some point it gets pretty much impossible to watch them all and if you want to do a frag-movie you're doomed, right?
Okey so imagine having a bind, that lets you automatically mark the demo the moment you made an awesome frag... oh boy.. awesome.. we are saved ;)
Yep that is pretty much the last thing that demo manager is missing, if possible please add up a feature that would let us semi-auto mark the demos with basic info about good frags. Example:
DM-Deck16][_2010-12_17__0-03__Fnumber[minute_second].dem
The moment a player presses the "good frag" bind it would save the time and after the demo stops recording, add it to the demo name (Or have a separated frags.txt)
What does it need?
* Support for multiple good frags in one demo
* Possibility to assign it to a custom key
DM-Deck16][_2010-12_17__0-03__F1[03-15]_F2[06-33]F3[13-22] etc.

What's the point of the download servers for demo manager when it downloads .uz files and demo manager does not decompress these resulting in 'corrupt' files?
Or does this happen because most of these default servers do have corrupt files? :x

hi
my demos are working but players are hang on-is like players are looking down,they move but they don't make dodge or jumps ---just i see hang on a position.
i know is something about skins but can't go over it:

the demo was made with serverside demo using MODOSUtilsV30.AutoRecorder

Now the fun of demos not playing :(
Says its missing files and when I click yes to download it says success but the demo never plays.
Tried command line - demoplay demoname says failed to connecter, announcer version mismatch. Deleted the announcer file and now UT wont start. Had to put it back.

no error with IE and Firefox .........you are the first to say that.....the problem must come from your I browser

I have the same issue ripper. Firefox, win7 and I also get Clear.gif for some reason. I have just been googling the download from other sources.

Just thought it would be awesome if I can click on a button to see the list of names/nickname in the demo (whether someone play in the whole map or come and go) so I can find a specific person in that demo. Just thought it would be nice. :idea:

If i'm getting this far i obviously have all of the needed files i just don't understand why it's trying to bind a class as a file. Any clues?
