server map download speed?

How come on other servers it allows me as a client to download a server at very nice speeds, but on my server (T1 line, P3 600 box) it crawls. Is there a setting in the .ini file I'm overlooking. I've scoured the tutorials but they don't seem to address this issue.

Sounds like you don't have redirection setup. Here's a tutorial to help you out.

The basics is non-redirected downloads come down at around 8k per sec, where as redirect is as fast as the http server can send it
