but i am still having problem connecting to my server from my lan
it does not show any lan games when i open the play online

i can connect if i go through the main ip for the server but that just means i am using extra B/W when i do not need to

i am using windows xp on all the network including the server

i would be thankfull for any help

To make the server do a LAN Broadcast, try this line in UT2003.ini on the server:

[code:1:e83311cd4f][IpDrv.MasterServerUplink]
DoLANBroadcast=True[/code:1:e83311cd4f]

Note: Even when the server isn't showing up in the LAN tab of the UT clients browser, the client should be able to open the console and type

[code:1:e83311cd4f]open 192.168.1.10[/code:1:e83311cd4f]

Substitute your servers LAN IP for 192.168.1.10.

Here's my section of the ini file. People log in and I can see it under the lan tab on the browser.
[IpDrv.MasterServerUplink]
DoUplink=True
UplinkToGamespy=True
SendStats=False
ServerBehindNAT=True
DoLANBroadcast=True
