I've just set up serverside demo recording using MODOSUtilsV23, it works fine, but the demos dont display correctly, all the characters are locked, no flipping or sidejumping etc, tried searching for a demo patch, but only come up with game specific patches and not demo ones, can anyone supply me with links / names / work arounds for this?

Also, installed the new Editor.u file asd per http://www.unrealadmin.org/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=144&mode=flat&order=0&thold=0 But for me it doesnt work, I installed the zellius bot UWindow.u file, and connected to my server, it was pure59 that kicked me, so I could actually connect. Call me an idiot, but I dont see how a different Editor.u file will effect the hacked UWindow.u bot file..?

Thanks.

Its engine.u mate not editor.u

The engine.u has a serversideonly flag on which means the one on the client has to match the one on the server.

As Zellius recompiles engine.u it doesn't match and as such he can't connect

Sorry, my mistake, i did change the correct files - engine.u and not editor.u, just made the mistake when writing the post.

Same problem though, renamed the old Engine.u to Engine.bak, unzipped the serverside file to my system dir, fired up the server, then slapped the (zellius bot) UWindow.u file in my system dir, and joined the server.
It was Pure59 that kicked me, so I could join the server.

It's always something obvious when comps dont do what they're meant to, so any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Install the server as explained
Download the Zellius bot to the client and copy over his hacked engine.u
Then try and join the server

Kinda my mistake, I forgot to add the hacked engine.u file from the pure59 hack, but its not part of the 1.5 bot, but rather the pure5* hack. Ooops - always something simple.

As for the demo recording, it's been suggested that it might be a problem with a texture file, does this jog anyones memory?

When watching a demo have you tried
behindview 0
in the console

I'm guessing your viewing through someones eyes by defalt at the start?

I took the server right back, deleted all the maps and texture files, then uploaded the bog standard ones which come with the server package, still its showing this wierd locked up characters, which are sliding rather than running / flipping etc.
I made a very small demo 60Kb odd, which requires no special files. http://www.instagibuk.com/screwy_demo.zip If anyone would take a look, and offer any suggestions etc..

Thanks.
