I have had the N/A ping in the server browser problem from the start with the dedicated server. Runs fine for a day then shows up as N/A in the ping column of the server browser? What the hell? I was resarting my server two and three times a day each time I see the master server list sayin N/A. I am just about done with this and was hoping the 2166 patch would fix it, it didnt, I am very dismayed that Epic would release such a flimsy and unreliable dedicated server. I could run any other game server in 20 mins no prob. But UT DED is plagued with this N/A thing. :angry:
I see in the list I am not the only server affected by this, how Has Epic not discovered this? I have personally posted five threads here and on Epics site about this. C,mon guys lets get this big prob fixed before we add custom announcer packs and other crap. :angry:
ElMuerte, any ideas, seems you are able to battle many of Epics downfalls? :notworthy:
I'm not gonna keep restarting this thing three times a day until the next patch either, we need interim fix or explanation of the cause right away!!!
Christmas is coming and wee are gonna have a crap load of new players entering the servers, I would like it if they could join mine once in a while ???

Oh and P.S. I cant see me running my server this way for much longer, and i have noticed that #'s of servers have dropped radically in the last couple o weeks.

Nimda have you set Douplink=true?
ServerBehindNat=true?
Opened all the ports on your router if necessary?

My server is running on my gateway Win2k w/ ICS machine also. I see the server in both the Lan and DM menus. Hmmmm. It shows N/A in the DM (internet side) of the server. It shows ping just fine in the Lan side. People log in and play all the time. Hmmm.
Anyone want to test mine for me? Tell me if it ever shows N/A on your side?
IP for this week. (I don't have a fixed ip address.)

If you broadcast for LAN it won't show up properly in the net master servers. (At least this has been my expierence)

Does this go for just my server in my browser or perhaps this is the problem with all the N/A servers out there? I'll try killing the lan broadcast and report back on what happens.
BTW Snaps, the picture at the bottom of all your messages is so wide that it forces the text off of the screen at the right. Suggest a smaller picture. ;)

Hmmm. No that didn't work. No change in the display of the server. Even with DoLanBroadcast=False, it still showed up in the lan tab and displayed as N/A in the DM section. ??? :wall:

Yeah it's the banner image off my website LoL, since I can't use real HTML tags on the post I am unable to control it's display size manually. Currently I have a guy working on my clan website images, redesigning them, once this is finished I plan to make the change. Sorry for the inconvience.

Does the maching have multiple IP addresses? Could it be that it's using the wrong one when it advertises to the master? You may try adding the following line to the servers startup command. (Substitute your servers internet IP address for the a.b.c.d)
MULTIHOME=a.b.c.d

Sorry for taking so long to get back. The multihome idea is a good one but I am on a DNS and would have to babysit that command more than I want to. It shows up in the Lan tab with ping for me. It shows up N/A in the DeathMatch client window but people log in and play all the time, so I guess I am not going to worry about it.
