Revision history for ngStats from NetGames USA or Unreal Tournament.
Latest patches and info are available at (http://www.NetGamesUSA.com/ngStats/UT/) - now invalid thanks to *cough* microsoft.
version 1.2 - 21 January 2000
* The missing CTF flag kill bug that became prevalent in the UT 405b patch has been fixed.
* Team Kills in CTF games no longer count against a player's score.
* When launching ngStats from the start menu it will now process any old log files by default.
* ngStats currently has a 1.3 MB max log file size restriction. It will no longer hang on larger files but rename the to *.big and continue on.
* Added the variable "delay" to the ngStatsUT.cfg file for dedicated server operators who are running ngStats in real-time. This is to address the problem of players potentially getting disconnected during the heavy CPU usage of both UT changing the map and ngStats running. Now ngStats can run 30 seconds after the map change.
version 1.1 - 01 December 1999
* Added "Crushed", "Mortared", and "AutoCannon" suicides
* Fixed GMT 0:00 Timezone bug that would cause ngStats to not process games
* Upgraded ngStats Database and added DB conversion routines
* Removed InstaGib Game Type
Version 1.0.4 - 17 October 1999
* Updated help files
* Added "Stomped" death/kill type
Version 1.0.3 - 24 September 1999
* Added Game Speed and Game Style to match info table.
Version 1.0.2 - 22 September 1999
* Added bot skill to bot's names.
* 32 players is now the max that will show on a detailed graph.
* Fixed players having wrong legend in graphs with over 16 players
Version 1.0.1 - 15 September 1999
* Fixed bug where players names could show up incorrectly. Note: This was a last minute fix that made its way into some versions of the 3dfx demo and not others due to complications with hurricane Floyd.
Version 1.0 - 15 September 1999
Initial release of ngStats for Unreal Tournament with the special 3dfx demo.

Yeah I know thats why I posted the patch here - Microsoft bought up NetGames USA and then proceeded to shut them down, ceasing all support, including hosting of any related downloads

This is probably the wrong place to post this but....
Is there any way a player can be deleted from ngstats?
Reason for this is botters are getting high stats due to their "100%" efficiency.

not that I know of, you may be able to edit the .db files in UnrealTournament\NetGamesUSA.com\ngStats\data but the only way I know of is to delete the .db files (they regenerate blank next time the results are recorded - great for resetting before lan parties) and then take measures to ban the botters (like UTPure or some other anti cheat system)

Azazel, This is indeed the final update to ngStats but it was always missing the DLLs to make it go. DLLs: snjawt11.dll & snjrt11.dll, which were missing from many distributions.
Just unpack 'em and dump 'em in the 'NetGamesUSA.com\ngStats' folder and you're good to go.
ngStats are great if you've got nothing else, but UTSTATS is the way to go if you can.
Hey Azazel... any discussion of utWorldStats yet?

I'm sorry, but why exactly are those dlls needed? I've never seen anything about them, and the patch i posted (official ngstats patch) has always worked for me.
Excuse me, but
I'm wary of random binaries that I dont know what they do, and with no apparent explanation as to EXACTLY why they are needed.
As I said ngstats worked fine for me once the official patch was put on.

I suspect from what you're saying that you may already have them, perhaps in your OS or as part of another package.
As for your suspicions of my motives, a quick google search of these names will show them as Java Runtime components associated with the original ngStats releases.
Further evidence can be seen by searching your ngStats folder for files containing the strings "Snjrt11.dll" and "snjawt11.dll". You will find that the ngStats.exe file you already have, references both internally.
My recollection is that NetGamesUSA penned an app note in which they apologized for omitting them from their final patch, and included them in a small suppliment that was a bit hard to locate. Of course now they are long gone, so verifying that is a bit difficult.

The dlls are only needed, as 50bmg says, if you don't have them or Java Runtime.
I've added them to top post to save more confusion.
Cheers for posting them 50

you dont use ngStatsUT.exe, Unreal tournament does when you run a server - if you set it to that is...
anyway, opening the program itself does nothing.

you dont want to run a server unless you're planning to play multi player over a network or the internet with freinds. Click the "Tutorials" link at the the top of the page. to find out how to start a server etc.

Hi! Every time I finish a local game, NG Stats kicks me back to the desktop. It looks like the screen comes on to mention it recorded the game stats and then minimizes the game. I can click on it and get back into it, but I'd rather not have to. Does anybody know how I can stop it from doing this?
