We are always working on improving UnrealAdmin.org.
Because we are on the other side of the looking glass we won't see everything wrong or missing on the site.
So that's why we ask the help of our visitors.

How can we improve UnrealAdmin.org ?
What things are missing, where can we improve, etc.
Please let use know so we can improve the quality of our service.

In the process of trying to throw up a linux ut2003 server, I've noticed that the downloads section wasn't too up-to-date. Specifically, the linux dedicated server download is at version 2186 instead of the 2225 (or perhaps v2199 which has the correct ucc file needed to run a linux server which 2225 has sadly omitted).

I've had to find the files through 3rd party unreal websites (since epics downloads at under 56k speeds); moreover, these websites require you to register or wait for a scheduled download.

Anyways, just thought that an important download for dedicated servers should be up-to-date and linked over here at unrealadmin.org to give that extra special warm-and-fuzzy-feeling of a no hassle one-stop shop =)

Perhaps you could open a linux section, where various linux distributions and problems running UT/UT2003 on them could be solved.

Example:
1. server running on low tickrate (<35) sending too few packets/s, when connecting with low bandwith/netspeed
2. sleeping process bug with low tickrate
3. WebAdmin problems with kernel <2.4.18

I'd say, write a document about that, I don't know those issues.

Maybe somebody wats to write a document on how to tweak your linux server for best performance, e.g. what kernel patches to install, what system settings to use.

I haven't tried to see just how far this goes, but an example is to try to sort the membership list by "Joined date".

You will get an alphabetic sort, of a kind, starting with the MONTH as the most significant item in the sort, and YEAR as the least significant.

Perhaps this interacts with the personal preference about date format.

Anyway, it's not serious, just something I noticed.

Keep up the good work!

First of all, this is an excellent resource. My thanks to whoever pays for this site and to everybody that contributes. This site has extricated me from the brown stuff several times (for UT and UT2003).

I do not have any suggestions for improvement at the moment, but I do appreciate you asking us. I have been able to find what I need fairly quickly. Wading through forum posts to find those nuggets of information can take some time, but you are not responsible for how well we write forum posts.

There are also so many variables that affect server admin that you cannot write the definitive server admin bible without leaving something out. That being said, your How-To's, Tutorials and FAQs are very well written.

Keep up the good work (please). :D

Under your How-Tos & Tutorials it would be nice to have a easy print button. That way if someone needs to print a Tutorial out He/She will have the text and not the whole web page. :)

Thanks for a Site such as this where UT Fans can come and get the help they need.
