help with lan mut

I am not new to ut2k4, but i am new to hosting. I am running ut2004 on a few pc. thay are all networked and use the same cd key. thay are also unpached as of now. if i list a normal lan game, everything works fine. however, if i run a mod or a mut on the server, only the server pc has the mod working. the rest of the pc,( thay all have the mod/mut) will connect with no weapons. I tryed with alkim, and WoE. if more info is needed, plz ask.

Have you added the mutator package to the ServerPackages?

I feel stupid. I dont even know how to do that. Is there anything i can read to teach me how, Im trying to set it up for a lan party in a few days

usually if you read through the readme associated with the mods in question , they will have a Installation section ?

under which it will instruct you to open your ut2k4.ini and add several lines to the ServerPackages/Acors lines , upon observation you will see how to do so..

someone with more experience then myself will hopefully pickup from here.

If it doesn't, look through the files the mod itself uses. Usually, (but not always,) the files that you put in the System folder are what you need to add to ServerPackages.
E.G.
Say you downloaded a mod called AwesomeMod.
It tells you how to run it, but not what to add to the ServerPackages.
Let's say it came with the following files:
¤AwesomeMod.u
¤AwesomeModTex.utx
¤AwesomeModSnd.uax

Usually, you would add AwesomeMod to the ServerPackages, as this file will usually reference the other two.

So, you would add ServerPackages=AwesomeMod to your server's INI file.

Hope that helps, I probably went too in-depth again (I usually do o_O)
