umm ok i have a global ban i would like to know why.....

and if it was me my name would have been <SBD>Tok'Ra as this is the only name i have used in the last year since joining my clan before that it was tok'ra

havent a clue why this ban is enforced on me.....
nor do i have a clue who is enforcing it and when the alledged crimes
were committed but we shall see i guess.......

i am at a loss for words.... they sure look like my details
i have never been kicked from any servers anywhere except for these utan servers over the last few days......

what do i do next?

no smart answers please this is serious for me never have i used any kind of 3rd party program i am a true player i cant even think how this could have happened.....if you knew me you would know i would never even dream of cheating at ut2k4

i mean yes i win some matches and i am regarded as a good player not an unbeleiveable player i get owned by players.....and now i will be called an aimbotter which i personally can say im not i have good days and bad days it comes with the game but seriously i have never ever used a bot

after reading other post..... i am thinking that your not going to remove this ban if i was you i wouldnt either i really dont know how this has happened i have no excuses nor idea's i am amazed i wasnt expecting that.....

what have i to do to remove this ban short of buying the game again which i really dont want to do..... your help here would very much be appriciated

i think after reading up on utan today that it is a very good and brilliant idea
its a shame we didnt have it on earlier versions of ut....

to the best of my knowledge i have never ever played in a multiplay server
i play on ggmj, hcg, sbd, and once in a while bmf infact please check my stats on the ut2k4 players stats site i think if i was an aimbotter i would be quite high i am just an average player.....check my matches..... you have no need to but i would think you would check these anyway just to see how well these real aimbotters do in there matches as evidance if nothing else
for the ban.....maybe not....i dont know what happens

and so i draw near to the end of this post i know its long and i hope you have some good thoughts on how i may be able to get rid of this ban and vindicate myself my clan and other clans i know who ARE going to read this are not going to be happy i am going to be a ruined man could your software of whatever it was that said i was using an aimbot be wrong i am not blaming you or your program.... my mind is just reeling right now my ut carreer could well be over for something i have no idea about.......

now i know your prolly thinking i am lying but im not i really do have no idea about this situation please help me...

in the date of the offence is that american date or english
i ask this because here in the uk we read our dates different to american dates.. i think america change the 1st and 2nd digits round i might be wrong.

i would think that this ban is not from as far back as 8th april 2004

i only ask because i was off ut2k4 until the 9th sept i was away from the game for 3 months i can kinda verify this if you go to my clans forum..... follow this link obviously you dont have to but i would really appriciate it if you did

and friends also welcome me back after such along time outa the game

so if the date of the offence is 4th/08/2004 it couldnt have been me playing at this time....... i didnt even have ut2k4 installed or for that matter in my household for reasons im not saying here my old copy was well "injured" and i had to throw the two parts of my dvd in the bin...

now i know what your thinking where did i get my other copy from.....
i got a copy off my friend its an original dvd version he
bought it for his son who has grown out of it so he gave it me as he knows
i play it quite often i aquired it on the 9th sept which is when i installed it

obviously i am in a clan which plays others clans we use clanbase rules
so obviously you know where this is going i cant play in these matches
as i have a global utan ban :( for the 1st time today we had a clan match/war
they insisted we play on there server which we havent a problem with only thing was i couldnt get on it...how embarrassed was i....and yep they said
im an aimbotter.....which ofcourse i am not.....

i dont want to be lame and say it was my mate he did it
but this is what i am thinking i dread to think about that, a quick phone call in the morning will sort that question out......rest assured though that i will never use an aimbot with this hash-key ever so if this is the case and you wont remove the ban then i will have no choice but to buy another copy of my most priced game ever ut is where all my friends are its my life kinda.... its my favourite past time...lame noooooo fun yes....i like the community.. i like the game and i like the people i play with....

anyway a quick shout to all my friends who read this....if they dont remove the ban i hope you all dont think i am an aimbotter and i hope we can still be friends.... and ofcourse to all who know me....

this has all been a terrible mistake..... i am embarrassed to say the least...

btw my ingame name is <SBD><=Tok'Ra=> not <SBD>Tok'Ra :) thats if you look it up on ut2k4 player stats :) which i hope you do... you will see how bad i really play i average a 50% eff constant throughout my game playing sometimes a little more sometimes a little less.....

The detection of the elfPlugin was done on the 4th August 2004 at 01:24:27am. The ban was entered into UTAN on the 9th August 2004 at 9:38pm.

It was caught on someone using the ISP - host217-44-247-176.range217-44.btcentralplus.com
Your ISP is - host81-153-242-223.range81-153.btcentralplus.com
This is, for me, a 100% positive match and you have no records of a stolen cd-key.

If you just tested the cheat just say so.

the person i got the game off also uses the same isp as me

my isp is indeed btbroadband as is his
there is no doubt in my mind that this said person did indeed use a cheat
using my name....i do not know why but i will after he comes home from school i have spoken to his father (my mate) and he confirmed that he did download a cheat at some point and show it it him...... he no longer has the game or any cheat installed on his system because i now own his copy...

it just was not me there is nothing more i can add i look like the guilty one
but honestly from my heart it was not me....... i did not even have the game at this time.....

there is no other way i can prove it wasnt me i wish there was can you think of anything? can i not please have the descression of yourselves to lift the ban and watch my personal status as a player i will join any server you wish because like i have said lots of times i dont have a cheat i have never had a cheat on my system nor do i endorse cheats in any way.......

i am a honest person if i had of tested a cheat of some kind i would have just said in my 1st post honestly though i havent....

i can really see the predicament here i really do understand where your coming from.....this guy who i am saying used the cheat is indeed using the same isp as me and he even used my name with it.........to what end i do not quite know yet when i ask him i will post the reply here......

For us, its the GUID in question not the person. This GUID has been used to play with aimbots, I suggest you talk to the person you purchased this off. As if I understand this correctly...

1) You purchased the game off him,
2) The GUID gets caught for cheating on the 4th, which is after you had purchased it

So that would suggest he had made money off you, yet was still playing the game. If I were you I would ask him to pay for a new copy of the game, as you were not the one to blame.

infact you have the facts wrong

1. the date of offence was indeed the 04/08/04
2 i got the game off him on 09/09/04
3 which was the 1st day i had played in 3 months

he will never buy me a new game i would be dreaming to even think this
his father "gave" me the game for nothing becuase he said his son doesnt play it anymore he has assured me that the game is deleted... and he will never be using this guid/cd-key ever to play in the future as i have it in my possesion i asked him if he wanted it back he said no he gave it me he doent play it......i trust his father telling me this i hope you trust me telling you

its ridulas to think i would use an aimbot i not that kind of person im a nice guy who plays the game how it is meant to be played i am friendly to all even arrogant noobs who swear alot.... i used to be a server admin myself in the day of ut2k3 i had a server running for about 1 yr this is where i met most of my friends and my clan it was called tok'ra's house of pain it was never empty

i ask you one last time can you please remove this ban on this guid
i can promise that not ever will an aimbot be used on it or for that matter any other form of cheat... as i said i will join any server you wish on a daily basis if need be so you can keep an eye on me i am a moderate player with good skills dodging and aim.......it would be a real shame if my name is ruined because of someone else........

so will you please remove this global ban?

Whoops. That would explain the reason of sale. How come your name was being used by this other individual btw ? I take it you know each other online.

Hi all,

I know Tok'Ra since I started playing UT. I'm also a server admin
and never found any indication that he might have used any cheats
on my servers. No indication in logfiles nor in game - and I play
him very often. My servers were (and are):

Xanton's Instant Rumble (UT2003)
<ShOOts & Ladders> <SBD> Server (UT2004)

Tok'Ra is a friendly and funny guy and I'm always happy to meet him
on my server. I wish there would be more of his sort.

I dunno if this post is helpful for you guys, but as I know the whole
thing is a real nightmare for Tok I can't keep silent. I just want to
let you know that he's got my full confidence.

fearless yes i have played this person a few times he is a young lad 13/14yrs old he was an ok player but he could never beat me i didnt even play hard to win him....but it was all fun.....

i have asked him why he used my name he gave me no answer he kinda just snirked and shrugs his shoulders so i said i know it was him and things have become serious for me using his old game and that using other peoples name is not a good thing i think i know why but this is just my opinion i think it was because i am the only "real person" he knows off ut i see him quite regular in real life i am good friends with his dad they have a little lan at home so sometimes we had a few games and i try to teach him a few moves and tecniques at wall dodging and aiming never once did i suspect he had an aimbot installed while i was there i saw no indication of this cheat....because i would still win him i would be on his fathers system him on his own in his bedroom i can remember at one point he did ask me about cheats but i told him not to bother with them as they are lame i told him to practice more often and to come and play with my clan on our server which he never did.......he tells me he plays war games now battlefield vietnam joint operations ect...... and that ut sucks....i clipped him round the ear for being so critical about our beloved game anyway hope that has shed some light on him using my name i will prolly find out in the future right now though he just finds it funny ...... i dont.....

this whole episode has had me on tender hooks since my 1st posting here
i am not playing well at all right now this is because my heart is not in it i have emailed my clan leader asking im to view this topic he has and he says he is 100% behind me also the people i play with know i would never use such a cheat i am a repsected person in ut i play and keep up with all the best players on the best server in europe without any cheats i have mentioned them in an earlier post i think you lot are american right and prolly dont play on these server as your pings would prolly be in the 200+ mark but if you were to play on them you would find that there are some pretty damn good players on them me included......

so limited will you please lift this ban on my guid it was not me playing at this time and i am now in the sole posession of this cd-key

thank again for your time everyone and i hope this matter can be resolved as soon as possible..... i just need an answer im in the dark right now as to what is happening i need some proper feedback in the form of a yes or no

this outcome is not what i wanted for me its not a question of losing nothing i am losing my name and my dignity my status as a player is now ruined i wanted the ban lifted for my personal name nothing else i have never used a cheat nor will i in the future.......

TokRa, it's a good thing that you're mates with the father of this player. Ask him if you can have a serious conversation with the boy.

There's two things that you really have to explain to him. One is that using someone else's name or identity to carry out a bad deed can have some very serious consequences in real life. The other, and it suprises me that you mention the word so often, is that the game *isn't* about winning. I personally think it's about slowly learning and improving with time. The benefits and rewards come afterwards and that is no small thing to understand. Note that on UT/UT2004, the learning curve is extremely steep and it's ideal that you have more than one "master" to help you progress.

I mean, I'd wouldn't like to be a kid nowadays with this consumerism and instant gratification mentality there is. You need to earn money to get hold of the latest games console and not scrounge it off someone. When you're still a child, you need to behave a bit so your parents consider offering you a treat and not pester them into submission (although that works sometimes lol ).

As for your reputation, a few people have got burned and survived :p (one of our clan members was "caught" a few months ago and we stuck by him). If someone annoys you saying you got caught, just ignore them. When it comes to clan wars though, I think you're just going to have to get a new copy of the game and a new key.
