Hi. I just set up a dedicated server for UT GOTY. I put it on the same laptop I used 5 years ago where it ran great, and everything seems fine. The server shows up on the internet and can be accessed for game play. However, whether I play on the internet, or on the LAN, I experience a several second lag every 5 seconds or so. It's kind of like 5 seconds okay, then 5 seconds of lag where the player can't move. The bots all exhibit repetitive runs over their areas. By the way, I disabled Norton's firewall and use the Windows firewall with the appropriate ports allowed, which is exactly what I did a few years ago. Since this lag also shows up on the LAN, I'm assuming it's the server setup on the laptop. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm thinking it's a setting somewhere within the server options, but I don't have a clue what it might be. Thanks for any advice you can give me.
