i totally agree on the time spam it takes to become a good skilled player i have been playing fps for well a life time i have earned my skills by playing with skilled players and learning from them heck i now have a few players on server i play on learning from me its the way it works.......

i most certainly will be having a more serious chat with this lad in the near future.....

and so it comes to an end not a good end for me but an end none the less
i feel like a criminal a man jailed for a crime i didnt commit but now i am free
i thought that when he gave me the game it was a god send as i was so missing playing with my friends its £30 here which i just couldnt afford then so as you might expect i was very greatfull for him giving it me and also very happy i could play

your a nice guy fearless and i am happy we got to converse in this way you have some very interesting phrases i think your a very wise man

limited (grrrml) your ok to dude i totally understand your judgement and i am in no way angry with you at all.....someone used a cheat with this guid so it is banned i agree totally....i did actually say that in an earlier post i was just hoping you would realise my perdicament also....anyway god has spoken and shot me straight to hell so.....new game needed for me as fearless so rightly said to be a able to play in clanwars i need a new game/cd-key no problem i will shell yet out another £30 when who knows!

just of the hook though i read another posting by someone who had bought the game second hand very short posting he just simply said i bought the game second hand the driver it think he was called you shown him the offences which was a real long list of names that used that cd key...... then he posted he had bought it second hand again and you just simply revoked the ban i thought to myself could that guy be the same original owner of the guid seeing as so many usernames have been used on that guid in my case this lad only used the bot once or was caught once and this ban stays....... i am failing to see the differance except that he paid a small amout of money for his banned guid and i payed nothing but i did pay full price in the begining)and my list of names that used my guid is only 1 offence compared to his 20 or so..... anyway your still a sound guy maybe a bit to professional but all in all good job.....

yes my good name will be ruined now tomorrow is another day though i guess i will look to the future and know that in my heart you have made a terrible decission here today....

fearless your clan member that was "really" botting does he have a global ban? i am interested to know this........ my clan are also standing my me not a single one of them think i am an aimbotter or have ever used an aimbot which is cool....... cause they are kinda my internet family and i love them all to bits in a friend bonding way ofcourse!

and so this is the end it hasnt been a nice experiance for me i will never be on this side of the fence ever again its been silly but serious for me....something i will never forget....some measured need to be taken by you admins to make sure this never happens again i would hate for some poor innocent good skilled player to feel like i do right now

He plays UT which doesn't have a guid system in place and he's simply banned off any multiplay.co.uk servers but our irc channel was the stage a "witch hunt". I finally told the witch hunters to get lost after I saw they were getting unreasonable :p . The guy in question has never used cheats; I would know because I'm usually better in 1on1 or in FFA.

Sorry to hear that you might be abandoning UT2004. AntiTCC and all the other stuff only exist because of the people who feel they must impose their lack of morals on others online.

i wont be leaving ut2k4 i love it to much its my favourite past time...... i think ut2k4 is the best game ever and i cant wait for the next version........ i do alot of 1v1 140% speed insta low grav +trans this is my main game i like playing (duel) its cool and you get a chance to play some pretty hot players..... my record is 20 in a row which was last week

the server record is 44 wins in a row maybe one day i will beat this score i can only hope! the guy who got it is damned good though havent beaten him once yet but i did beat a player on 40 wins in a row the other day he also is a red hot player..... hehe took me 2 attempts to beat him..... it was a fun game and i really enjoyed it........i really suck at clanbase rules as i mostly play low grav fast games i find it hard to adapt to this speed and fire rate the clans we play in the wars are fluent in 100% speed so there aim is far better than mine... well not that much better hehe but enough to frag my butt off its all good though and very much fun playing with my clan

i hope no one comes witch hunting for me that would be a real nightmare
i will simply ignore them....

So all in all. If I was to buy a copy of the game off of ebay and the GUID had previously been banned then I would be unable to play it. That sucks IMO.

Maybe you should modernise the banning system so that GUID bans can be tied to ip address ranges. (Or by "local" as was said in another thread). So if the previous owner of the game is still using it, he's banned but the new owner isn't.

Btw, pld some of the sbd guys in my time time, and they were all good casual players. Shame how respectable players get toasted when some other bans get revoked.

We had talked about this, but to code something like this, is too complex for us to think about at the moment.

Lame ? Maybe not. To understand someone much younger you have to try to think like them. Maybe he had a small grudge as you're older and he can't get the best of you in game. He won't ever tell you that though and the only way to figure out what's really going on is to have a long talk and see how a person reacts.

Hey Tokra just a thought to help you out, if you had the game before and just got the media from your friend, then try using your old key just search your reagistry for unreal and fine the key string and change it. I wouldn't suggest that trying just any key off the net since 99% or so of the warez keys are banned by UTAN

i wouldnt even dream of trying a warez cd-key i havent even thought about looking on the net mate ill buy a new copy when i can afford one..... until then though i cant play in any clanwars which sucks but i guess this is the way its meant to be.....

Hi Folx, Hi Tok'Ra.

Just for the people which dont believe what Tok'Ra is writing: I trust him in 100%. He has over 600 Matches on our 04-Server, I know him from UT2k3-Times @ Xantons instant Rumble, and so on and so on... We had real fun in many many Matches and NEVER EVER something was suspecious.
I understand the fact he isnt getting unbanned, but I just wanted to clear this up

Just read all of this, i think its kinda discusting how u can bann sum1 from playing u.t when its totally not his fault, u must b blind not to see that it wasnt him him. He cant proove nothing, ive played against tok' before you guys decided to bann him for no real reason, i know hes a totally down 2 earth guy and wouldnt lie about something like this

Lets change the angle here, lets see how 1 of u admins would like it if u wer banned from doing something like this when its totally not your fault, if some person decides 2 use your name, you arent aware of it and then u get banned? i dont think youd b 2 pleased about it so why do it to others? as the sayin goes "treat other people how you would like to be treated yourself!"

I think every one who has read this forum can see that its totally not his fault so why not act abit more like adults and lift the ban! instead of putting a ban on a perfectly honest, talented player.

It's not his name, it was the GUID, his cd-key.
