Default slight problem when people connect to my server.

hey all.

im running the 2k4 dedicated server, but when ppl try to connect, they are stuck as a spectator for about 2 mins, they cant join the players cos it says "recieving server state" down the bottom of screen

why is it doing this and how do i fix it??

Need to post some more data. Command line, spectator=on/off, tournament mode?, etc...

this is the script i use to start the service:
http://ripcell.mine.nu:8500/UTresource/startscript.txt

and my ini file:

http://ripcell.mine.nu:8500/UTresource/UT2004.txt

hope thats a start.

i found out today, that they arent actually a spectator, its just acting asif they are, asin they fly round the level ect but its empty of players. and down the bottom of screen it says "recieving server state"

Edit your UT2004.ini to remove all your passwords, then post it here.

what did i miss? INI and startup script are in my above post, its just that its saves as a txt so u can open it in the browser

Um, just a suggestion... These delays are upon map changes? If so, my server has Anticc, and it has to check files, etc..., and are those delayed players pings 999 (long checks for 56k, been there)

um, does it when ppl connect from the list and when it changes maps it sits there and thinks also when they have finished loading.

the server is advertised "ripcell's UT warzone" if someone wants to jump on and see what it does. also it can be found at ripcell.mine.nu:3355

and no antitcc isnt running on it.

not sure. btw it is running on a 10meg broadband connection so bandwidth isnt an issue.
