Note that I edited my post above to say that a fix for mac users "may have been posted". I don't know of a sure fix. Ideally, if you take the UMenu.u file from the server and install it in your system directory, it will bypass this test. Your UT may no longer work though. Perhaps you can work around it by modifying your original system files.
If you have discovered a specific fix for this mismatch for macs, please post.

You havn't post the info I need
It seems that the reason you cannot connect is not CSHPs fault nor is it My fault.
The fault lies at the server admin of that server.
They have created custom UTPure packages and you will need a copy of that off them.
But, if you take a copy and overwrite the good version you have it will stop you connecting to other servers.
Connect to the server again and press F2 to see if there is an email address and write them an email telling them your problem.
If needs be point them back to this thread.

I'm not sure that you may draw that conclusion from what I said. The UMenu.u file mismatch error is independent of the problem he is having with UTPure. Unfortunately, I cannot tell exactly what he did from the rant post. Clear as mud.
From what I understand, installing any specific set of UTPure files in the system directory and deleting them from the cache (altered files or not) will allow him to play on the server running the files installed in the system directory. Maybe he didn't exactly do as he was supposed or (as you speculate) that the admin has altered the files and yours won't work on that server.
I would suggest that he try on a server running your files (like your server). Then, if it doesn't work, it is something he did. If it works on your server, but not on the other, then the files are altered.

No big deal
Actuallly, it doesn't make much sense for the admin to have altered the Pure files without renaming them. Then everyone who has these files in their cache will have a mismatch and be unable to play on that server. The only players the admin will get will be ones who have first played on his server with that version of Pure. Normally, admins will rename the Pure if they have altered it to prevent file mismatch errrors.
The most likely problem is that the mac user has incorrectly placed the files or downloading/decompressing has screwed up your files.

Dougy,
As someone who was initially very pissed off and equaly as mad at the UTPure folks, I must say the fix does work. You must be doing something wrong.
First, make sure you delete ALL previous Cache files, including your Cache.ini. Get rid of all of it.
Then stick all of the files into your system folder, except the "Cache" files. Stick them in a new Cache folder.
If it all doesn't work then, you might need to create a new Cache.ini file that includes the new cache files. unfortunately I am not sure what files names they should have. You might want to ask Azazel for these names.
That really should do it. If it doesn't you might have something else wrong. Do a clean install if necessary and start over.
I am back on my favorite servers and fragging away.

Nothing should overwrite the versions you have.
The ones in the system folder definitely won't be overwritten.
Unsure about the cache folder though I suspect not.

That server doesn't even have UTPure installed, it is using CSHP4+.
So I can with great certainty say that this is not something you can blame on UTPure.

If this is a problem with Azazel's server, perhaps it would be more efficient to PM him or send him an e-mail to discuss this.

There should be no problems with my server as it only uses standard packages.
I've not had chance to look at that other server but will do as soon as I can.
Any possibilities anyone else can look in the meantime and see what packages they have?

I've checked that server.
Do you realise it is playing MultiCTF which is not a standard package?
Do you have this package?

No offence but people have been busting a gut to help you on here and 99% of times its been the fault of the people who made the Mac conversion.
In less than 24 hours you have had 3 replies all providing free support.
I would suggest a tip is to be a bit more pleasant before people begin to get fed up of helping you out!
