Thats strange , i did an find ip sorce search on it and it gave me some place in amsterdam. Ohh well. Maybe I used a bad serch engine?

Sorry Hermskii , but I decided to go with the 440 patch intead of 451 "It has some things i dont want incorperated on my server at this point in time."

p.s. Its not nice to spam. You now have three huge posts all the same thing.

Those are the value's i use (i believe these are the standard value's) and they are sufficient
I just updated to the 440 patch, then I restarted the server and played a game , then shut it down. looked at the UT.ini "witch had not changed at all from my old one" and those settings are not in there? did something not get installed or did you add them in manualy to the .ini? The patch was not a umod also "thought this was weird " It was these files witch i extracted to the sys folder:

Sorry Kortniechan about the spam in my posts. I just wanted to get the word out. Go back to my first post and do the part about the DOS EXPLOIT FIX. The section is on the www.utpg.net page. You have to add the section in yourself I think. Sorry again about the spam. Good luck. What did 451 have that you didn't want? I think it's much better than 440. It's a skin changing issue isn't it or a anticheat issue it and PURE?

Let me confirm "I need to add the two lines in ?" I dont want to ad them in if they dont work in 440 because the install didn't add them in. let me know.

ummm you know I cant even remember why i didn't want the 451 right now, I remember it was something though. Ill have to go read all my old posts to figure it out. If I cant get the 440 to do what i want then I'll probly switch to 451. Whats the difference between them ?

Your Monsterhunt is prety fun. I used to go there alot. I haven't been in a long time though. have you made any changes as of recently?

It was supposed to say www.utpg.org instead of dot net. Sorry. Here is a copy of that section I mentioned. This is all from www.utpg.org under the "DOS EXPLOIT FIX" section of their homepage:

If you find your server being used for a DOS type attack, you need to upgrade to 451 (or find an old copy of 440). You can tell by looking in your server log and seeing a lot of conn open/close messages very close together (while the server is empty). To fix this, upgrade and do the following:

Ensure that under your [Engine.GameEngine] section it reads:

[Engine.GameEngine]
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerQuery

***Please note if you are using any other IPServer you will need to remove that line from your server's .ini file and replace lines like below with the line above:

UT Pure IP Server Update: ServerActors=PureIpServer.PureUdpServerQuery

BDB's IP Server Update: ServerActors=IpServer2.UdpServerQuery2

In addition, you need to verify the following lines are also in your server.ini file:

[IpDrv.TcpNetDriver]
MaxConnPerIPPerMinute=5
LogMaxConnPerIPPerMin=True
AllowPlayerPortUnreach=True
LogPortUnreach=False


You can change the max number of conn per min to be even lower then 5 if you so wish. By turning on/off logging this will enable you to reduce the impact on your log files as well.



I hope that answers all of your questions. Seems it is OK to use with the 440 patch. My MH server is doing very well and there are new mods out that really enhance gameplay too. Thanks for asking. CYA and good luck!

I have those lines in our server's ini so you can add them no problem.

And that's probably why UTIII was a relative flop. New game, same sh*thead players ^^.
