Default windows server version for UnrealTournament

Hi
can you guide me with your experience.


I assembling a server for UT-game under windows but what version of windows-server?

I have ssd and i want TRIM function.

*AMD Sempron AMD64 2.8GHz.
*DDR3 PC3-10666 2 Go 1333 Mhz.
*SSd 120g Sata3.
*Mother board MSI 760GM-P23 (FX).

windows server version x86 or x64 ? bugs for setting tickrate or other ?

Windows 2008 64 bit is the best for hosting games on.
You can try this out , http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/serve...8-default.aspx
Windows 8 server BETA.
It's really nice.

In my experience and opinion of dedicated, I would say 2003 x86. However I would recommend Linux over Windows.

I also use Linux over Windows , you can leave it online without restarting for years.

ut was meant to run on windows, and it runs best in my opinion. It calcs tic rates accurately as well imo. I run mine on server 2008 now. I have run them on 2000 server 2003 server as well.. 2008 is mint. run on linux if you like playing with that os, command line, and headaches.. (which i see all the time on these forums) Me i prefer simplicity. windows servers are not as insecure as some may say esp if your running 2008.
