illegal ufunction call , is caused by tweakblocker on some normal weapons servers i think. nothing to do with ace , unless its not configerd correctly.

I've been experiencing some issues lately while playing on ACE servers(any other server is fine). I mostly play BT on FBT servers which run the 0.9c version (private one?). A few days ago i went on the uK Siege server, played for a while and that's where my issues began. I noticed they use the 0.8h version (another private one?). Ever since playing on uK, whenever i join any ACE server i always freeze at about the 25th second, and whenever a new player joins the server i freeze again, which you must understand is very bad and annoying as it usually makes me die or just interrupts my run. The lag and freezes are worse than ever on the Siege server even if there aren't more than 6-7 buildings per base; whenever i turn around and face most of the base i freeze, whenever i come around a corner and see the entire base i freeze. I recall having this issue long time ago, when i was playing Siege regularly, and i resolved it by installing a fresh copy of UT on another physical drive and not entering the Siege servers any more.
So I deleted UT, and made an entirely fresh installation, but unfortunately that did not help at all. I find it very weird and since i've ran out of physical drives which have never had UT installed on them i tried the enhanced D3D and OpenGL renders - to no avail. I also tried the ACE compat toggle - that only made things worse and totally unplayable. I'm running XP Pro 32 bits, relatively good hardware - although now outdated, but more than enough for UT - C2D 3Ghz, 3GB RAM, ATi HD 4870 and the 436 version of UT if that's of any relevance.
It seems to me that whatever the exact issue is it does "permanent damage" because reinstalling makes no difference, it only would if it is on a new physical drive. I would really love some feedback here as i really cannot play like this any more, is there any resolution for this and where exactly is the problem?

v8h is a public version. I run uK siege so I'm not sure what the issue you are facing is.
However, I have stopped running v9c because of various issues that I am still waiting on AnthraX to look into. A lot of our clients are unable to play on v9c for some reason.
Anyway, about your issue about the lag and freezes. We've had a lot of DDoS attacks targetted at us recently. I've gone ahead and setup a new server so I can analyse the old one of any connections and packet sniff. Go ahead and connect to the old one, it should redirect you.
I'm unsure as to why playing on siege and then going to another server would cause you problems though? Once you leave all the siege files unload themselves. So if it "was" siege, the problem would be resolved.
Having said that, any lag you experience while on siege, isn't client side (I'm aware of that) it is serverside and this is due to the constant attacks we are under. We try our best to get rid of them but it's challenging, to say the least. I'm sorry you have had or are having a bad experience but I am trying my best to resolve all the issues. The attacks just constantly stress our servers to the point where it's surviving but just about...
A lot of these issues never get resolved though because no one contacts me to tell me they actually have an issue to begin with. So your post here is actually the first I've ever heard. It's kind of unfair you post criticism (at it's lowest form, even if it is that) but I'd like to help sort these issues and improve your experience.
I don't like people not enjoying themselves

I'd like to report a possible issue with the crosshair scaling module of ACE.
I've tried using "mutate ACE CrosshairScale X" where X has been various figures ranging from 0.5 to 50. It doesn't seem to have an effect on the size of my crosshair even after reconnecting.
I've tried this on several servers with ace (e.g. FBT Bunnytrack) as well as my own local test server installation using ACE (configured to enable scaling in the ini). I'm using the D3Dv9 renderer but the same issue with OpenGLv2 as well. My resolution is 1920x1080 but this happened at 1680x1050 too.
Thanks!

if you use custom weapons
UPackages[0]=yourweapon1.u
UPackages[1]=yourweapon2.u
pehaps you need to add it like this
[ACEv08_AutoConfig.ACEAutoConfigActor]
UPackages[0]=yourweapons.u
try this

I'm trying my best to get this fixed so I can finally release another public version but I haven't had any time to work on it for quite a while now. I dumped the file list for v0.9d yesterday and my last edits (before yesterday) were in december 2011. Within the next 2 months, I'm looking to bring in a second coder (but there are some bullshit legal issues which I won't bother you with) and I'm hoping to finally finish my TODO list...

Did you manage to fix the linux issues in this release?

When I try and download the attachment from the first post, all I get is a 1x1 gif file, does this happen for anyone else? Tried in both firefox and opera with the same result (even with save link/target).
