ut2k not starting

when i try and run the ut2k4 by double clicking it and clicking "run" the first bit comes up when its just a square in the middle of the screen with vairius logos. the screen goes black for half a second an d the desktop comes back up


p.s i'm a bit of a noob so if i'm being an idiot please say so

look in ut2004\system\ut2004.log - something towards the end will tell you what the problem is.

If that file is big, delete it and try again to get the output related to a single attempt to start the game.

no such file i'm not running it in wine i'm using the linux client
