Compressing files for redirect directly in linux
can u use the ucc-bin to compress files from the shell into uz2 ready to move to a redirect server
ive tried ucc-bin -compress DM-blah.ut2 but it didnt work....
any help appreciated

ok found out how to do it, so used:
./ucc-bin compress /usr/local/games/downloads/Maps/*.ut2
it compressed them all with no error message, but theres no uz2 files
i cant find em.........
help me

thats the root of the drive,
whats the correct arguments for hte find command to search the entire system for *.uz2??
i tried find *.uz2 but got nothing

found em
coz im not root, it wouldnt display folder that started with a .
so the /.ut2004 was invisible
used ls -al to show em all
all sorted

`locate .uz2` usualy does a trick
btw, alternative you can use tinyuz2, which is a standalone tool to (de)compress uz2 files:

User -nohomedir option, then ucc will compress in current directory. Much more convenient.

looks like this one is a download > compress > upload scenario .. cheers.
not quite sure but I thought rsc might have had the ability to read file's from one server
and compress / send to another .. only on windows I think..
