Server not in master list, No router
Hi. My server, which showed in the master list in the past will not do so now.
I thought it was a router glitch so I took the computer off the router and it still will noty show. I can join it using the open location thing but it will not show.
Is there An INI setting that could be off or something?

start a multiplayer game, making sure Advertise server is ticked, then click dedicated. An icon should appear in the corner near the clock. Right mouse click it and click advanced options.
Match these settings:
+expand networking
++expand master server uplink
+++DoUplink = True
++expand public server infomation
+++make sure servername and shortname are the same
+++Region = 0
++expand server beacon
+++"beacon port" should match "serverbeaconport" (= 7777)
+++DoBeacon = True
++TCP/IP Network Play
+++Allow Downloads = True
++Webserver
+++bEnabled = True
+++Servername = YOUR IP HERE
The server name in the Webserver area MUST be the same as your internet ip ( www.whatismyip.com ) the same ip that people use to connect to your server.
Once this is all set, close the advanced options and exit the server. Restart UT and restart the server making sure advertise server is ticked still

This is normal, you can actually delete the lines in your server ini to not try and connect to master.mplayer.com because they are no longer UT servers - so of course you wont be able to connect to them, theres no point trying.
i think there is another way to solve this and il look into it, but im sure that they dont host anymore so theres no point trying to connect there. just remove the lines from your ini
MasterServerAddress=master1.mplayer.com MasterServerPort=27900
thats the way i have it in my unrealtournament.ini, i remember reading it in the NBSP forums i think so you might want to try that ^^^

errr... i dont think a firewall is the prob, infact i dont even think there is one, otherwise no1 would be able to enter, let alone come on the server list....
just try my above steps vindicator, exhaust that first and see what happens

try this
i had the same problem turn out to be a router out at the isp somewhere but ths worked plus it gives you more servers too!!
go and change these lines on your computer's UT.ini
[UBrowserAll]
bHidden=True Set this to False
bFallbackFactories=True Set this to False
I change my own computer to these settings and Boom I can see my server. I actually noted that I can see about 400 more servers than before.
I would see about 2100 servers. Now when I changed those two things I see
2450+ servers.

Sorry for the bump from hell, but our server doesn't show up. How can I set all this manually in the ini file?
I do have
[IpDrv.UdpBeacon]
set to true, but what else can I do to make it show up in the ut browser? No one can see our server

I would just like to add I cannot see my own server in the masterlist either. I think my ISP has something to do with it. Others, however, do see it. As long as these lines appear in your log:
Master Server is unreal.epicgames.com:27900
Port 7779 successfully bound.
Master Server is master0.gamespy.com:27900
Port 7779 successfully bound.
You should be fine.
Also changing the name of UT's builtin webserver to your IP address has nothing to do whatsoever with your server appearing in the masterlist. Whoever wrote that clearly doesn't understand what he's talking about. All you need to do is make sure the server has full net access. So place it in the so called DMZ in your router, so all ports (unless specified otherwise) will automatically be forwarded to your server - thus it appears your server is directly connect to the Net even though it's behind a router.

Thanks. We're on a hosted server, not a home computer, so no router stuff needs to be done.
The only thing I've seen that we don't have is multiple master server listings. We only have one listed. I didn't set the server up, so it's been a nightmare going over everything to be sure what all is done, but it everything looks good except for that multiple master server listing.
I'll try that and see if it does the trick. Thanks again.

Make shure both server names on ut.ini are equal.
If not they donĀ“t show on list.

hey tm,
i think the answer is somewhere in this thread (sorry, i can't remember what specifically i changed to make it advertise properly) :
http://forums.gameservers.com/viewto...hlight=showing
i used to have a server with gameservers.com a year or two ago and had the same problem. hope you find the answer in there.
