I also have these "Bad TimeDilation" with the custommaps. I am going to downgrade to version 7c now. I cannot edit all those maps.

I used 7G also, but had some problems with Maps with machineguns in it.
DM-Return Killing Fields
DM-MalariaV2

Now i have switched back to UTPure 7E ( thx SixtSense for the advise)
Seems to work fine for us now

PURE7G seems to have a problem with custom maps. I have about 4-5 maps that im aware of, will not work with 7G :-(. Anybody know how to fix this?

The other thing i noticed is with 7G, the package logger creats considerable lag on the server. Since players enter at different times, whenever a new player enters, theres a bit of lag.

I wonder if its even neccessary to log packages. I mean, im assuming that pure stops the old elfLite bots and some of the older bots like choco, zellious, s34k and many others which i cant remember the names right now.

yeah theres no point logging packages now, not for a long time, though a modmenu checker still catches a few ppl now and then

depends if you want to catch them or just stop them I suppose, if you just want to stop them, put Pure7G and UTDC1.5 on

It's true that the Pure Package checker causes lag. That is even in the readme of it

I use Pure7G, UTDCv15 and PureINTLogger. That works fine without creating a huge lag for all players

Yeah really, and just about any map embedded weapon for that matter. They worked with other versions of Pure, WTH? What changed that rendered these maps useless with version 7G?

Any way to suppress these:
(had an impurity (RD - UNKNOWN!)
(MS - Illegal Variable Change!)

At least the binslayer style rifles still work.

Pure is not really necessary anymore (in my opinion - others will disagree)... UTDC & EUT have really done well (and AnthChecker is fantastic too - but we've got a good amount of mac users)... and then if anyone seems suspicious, we can always just do a UTDC shot on them... makes for a good server setup.

:? (MS - Illegal Variable Change!) is usually caused by a hook :? Ive never known anything else to trigger this return.

pure is an absolute must for every server. It's just way underestimated because it blocks cheats rather than detecting them

That and pure removes many exploits along with fixing alot of bug issues.

Unless you're running custom weapons like StrangeLove 2.x which get detected as cheats themselves by PURE -- then no matter what cheats it does stop or what bugs / exploits / etc it fixes, it's useless and therefore not an absolute must.

EUT + UTDC + AnthChecker seems to be the safest way to go for more highly customized servers -- PURE's very picky about what it gets along with, it seems.

I'll have to look into those and abandon UTPure cuz a few of our maps no longer work with the current Pure and our people keep getting kicked out of our server including myself, without running any actual cheats/hooks.

Why don't you modify the maps or just delete them from your server? Easiest solution imho.

Here's an off the wall question... anyone working on a ZP_Zark mod? It's not that different from the Sniper rifle, except for the firing rate is higher.

Just to clarify, I'm not looking for a "Zark Arena." We still want to be able to pick up other weapons, and use the translocator as well.
