I have a windows 2000 Server running a 6 person Sniper Area Server with IIS running on it also. my web page is running fine http://nbs.servebeer.com but the Web admin wont work load up i get the username/passaword box but then nothing ..... even on my local lan it doesnt work ................... but it does work on the local machine .......... im guessing it could be some kind of port blocking in place by windows 2000 anybody else know windows 2k really well ?
thanks

What port are using for the webadmin interface? If it's 80 you'll have to change it to something else, like 8888. Port 80 is the default port for web browsers and your IIS site is using that. If you are not using 80 for webadmin, do you have a firewall up?

Sorry for the lack of info
I have tried loads of diff ports 5555, 8888 8899 and 8080, i know that IIS was using port 80 for the web pages
I do have a firewall/router but there is no firewall software on the windows 2k machine and the router/firewall has no effect on LAN traffic, but i do have all the ports open from incoming traffic from the net to allow UT to run and the ports for the web admin too.
thanks

I am also running UT2003 behind a firewall and I get occasional WEBADMIN lockups as well.
At first it seems to load up fine and then after some time on a level the webadmin locks up and I have to either restart the server, restart the level or just wait till the level if over untill the UT2003. ini gets execed again..
Hopefully this will get fixed in a patch..

I know you probably don't want to do this but have you tried installing the retail version. That fixed all of my WebAdmin issues I was having!!
Worth a try ... just put on the no-cd patch

1. Can you run webadmin from the outside?
2. Are your client computers running "Firewall Client"?
3. Are you running ISA along with IIS?
If you are running ISA with firewall client, you need to go into your ISA and add the ports into the firewall client area.

disable IIS temp, see if it works, if so
change ur IIS port to like 70 and keep UT @ 80
or I'd suggest IIS @ 80, UT @ 75 (works for me)
