jolt cheat protection
i always seem to have questions, should have a forum just for me either way i was wondering what cheat protection jolt use to protect against HelioS-Hook. It doesnt require a download which is why i prefer it to noose and UTDC because those need dlls on the client side. I have asked in irc but no1 knew and the admins were not there. does anyone here know

Jolt uses private cheat protection so it's no use asking what it is and where to get it. I have read that it takes a while to detect a bot but it seems effective, and clientside which means that H can't get his grubby fingers on it.

yea i just found out about that
hmm i really need to speak with some anti cheat admins - soon. i just got banned from 2 servers trying to get admins attention with the cheat protection which is so fkn stupid. trying to help - had all settings off (sadly including admin disconnect) i just wanted to talk with one of the admins cus NONE seem to be around
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
anyone who can get me unbanned from jolt iLMS2 and gamearena.co.uk iLMS1 please do so...

Talking to Jolt admins or trying to get their sympathy is an exercise in futility. Some admins have been known to ban or kick players for no valid reason. I would talk to one of the head admins if you have a problem with any of the admins.

yea if u can. tell them that the cheat protection is not very good if they cant tell if its on or not - i was in an empty server ffs y wud i have bot on? therefore their admins made a mistake banning me, i just need to talk to the head admins in person and thats the only way i seem to get attention around here
i need to talk to them soon (not about my ban tho - unless that can be removed too)

why would they care if the server was empty or you didn't have any of the settings on? If you got detected and logged then of course your going to get banned. Not as if they are going to think "Oh this guy was only testing to get our attention." And it wouldn't be their mistake to ban you........it would be your mistake to go into a public server with a cheat installed.

it seems so, i just dont believe people are so ignorant sometimes. just spoke to a jolt admin (not head admin) and he leaves during convo, they just dont wanna listn. so basically i need to spk 2 a head admin - get them to email me - - if any1 knows them

I was saying it was dumb because, nowadays, anticheat mods detect hacks whether they're active or not.

The stuff Jolt runs is the one from #anti-cheat on quakenet.
If you had the hook open you get banned, simple as that.
Testing is not an excuse.
It open and all options not on is not an excuse.
There is no excuse for any player to have them, try them or test them.
If you wish to get unbanned from Jolt (thats if they would unban you) go to #ut.jolt on quakenet.

Utdc ?
We currently run Utdc against the hooks. Ít requires a download and install clientside, but it seems to work. We've tested it on Hellios hook v3.1 and it instantly kicks the player using it. There's also a ban option in there.

UTDC does just fine against public hacks. I haven't seen a new incarnation of the hook for a while now, so it's all good.
