I have a weird problem with ACEv08h and Nexgen112, I don't think I've had it before. I was testing out AceManager, and I get this kick message:

The thing is, earlier in the logs, in the UPacakges part, I get this:

The sizes and the hashes match, so I don't see why I got kicked. The package was pulled directly from the server as well, so I'm a little confused :s

On a different note, a few of the hashes and other bits of data are missing.

- You can now manually configure the port you want ACE to listen on.

List goes on and on. Peoples ideas and sometimes complaints has been listened to, and the work to continue to perfect ACE is still in motion.

Overall progress is 78% near compleiton and we are very keen on giving the new performer a good trial.
Win 9x again not supported?
Bet I'm not the only one as I saw one of my favorites going from very populated/without ACE to virtually empty/with ACE and back to very populated/without ACE - thankfully

Win 9x uses a very very old kernel, to keep that version compatible with the later version (build on the NT kernel) would require a LOT of recoding and many features / checks will not work properly (slow for example due to missing support for instructions as example)

Is the project now on hold? I haven't seen AnthraX respond on the forums for quite a while now.

If so, when is the project expected to be resumed? Is there any ETA? Are we talking here about a half year? a year? two? :p

in the new version if we could remove the 'Recording: on' thing at the top that would be nice.

Also ... the option to block proxy connections by default. And perhaps something like Ace Manager built into it or made functional...

I believe that's already hidden by default in v0.8h? Either way, it's easy to hide. mutate ace help and use the demostatus command.

That's outside the scope of a cheatprotection tool. You're free to use external banning tools for that. ACE will continue to offer the information needed for those tools to achieve that.

was a bit worries with what gene posted that AceManager would no longer work.. with next version of ace

Ferral Dragon is also in the loop as well as Gopostal so we still have a few active coders about the place which is always handy.

There are few active coders left, but none is capable right now to make a decent native anticheat, I believe. Thanks for all your effort.

edit\ just noticed you were talking about the ace manager, but my sentence stills prevails.

yes I have had alot of problems with ace and the nexgen mod which integrates it as well , mainly for spectators though..

not sure if theres yet a fix for this
