need help with setting up a pick-up server

i want to set up a ut99 pick-up server, but i have no idea how to do that
all i know is that i need the following:
a UT99 server (duh) - i'll get one once i know how to set a pick-up server (i'll also get a TS server for that)
an IRC bot - no idea where to get one from and how to configure it
and an IRC channel for the server

is anything else needed?

We can probably rent you one if you're really interested in going the paid server rental route. I can get you a server up and running pretty easily. It will have stock maps on it, but you'll be able to load your own on there too.

We can probably configure you a teamspeak server too.

As far as IRC, well I've never used it. My clan has never felt the need. Teamspeak has always been good enough for us. So I wouldn't know how to help you with that.

For the IRC bot, I guess you mean a pug bot rather then a reporterbot (well I don't know whether mavericks IRC bot can do that but I think not)

You could try to go to any pug channel and get a link for it with the "!commands" command e.g. this is what I get for abot: http://www.ugamer.net/abot/, there you can look for a way to invite the bot and how to configure it.

Otherwise you may want to google for a pugbot and host your own or something.

I don't think you'll need anything else then what you listed.
