yeah its lan only and the the dedicated server tab is off... there is no password to join... and the network runs fine we both can use the internet and share files... O.o* when the guest computer joins the match it stays at the loading screen.... ive left it up for 10min b4!?! you can press the Escape key and hear the in game menu pop up but you cant see it. you have to end the game on the other computer to get back to the menu on the guest cpu.

Hi,
I run my own server and have had lots of this, and its almost ALWAYS down to a firewall. If you have one, you can configure it for your lan, or simply disable it while you play.
Hope it helps

There is windows xp firewall, to disable:
1. right click my network places and press properties
2. right click your network connection and press properties
3. click the advanced tab
4. untick "potect my computer..."
