Weird parsing with accents

There seems to be recent change that is messing with one particular accented character. One should post in english here but it's nice to be able to explain things to someone in their native language on top of english too.

Examples :

a with accent sloping to the right : (clips text below when posted or is transformed into ?* in private messages)
e with accent sloping to the left : é
c with a "cedilla" : ç
u with an accent sloping to the right: ù
e with two dots: ë
e with a "hat": ê
u with a "hat": û

Looks all correct to me. Are you sure you let your browser determine the character encoding automatically?

Si tu utilises FireFox, va dans Affichage, Encodage des caractères, Personnaliser la liste, et assures-toi que 'Unicode (UTF-8)' est en haut de la liste de droite.

UTF-8 est sélectionné mais on trouves "western (ISO-8859-1)" en haut de la liste. Je fais un autre test en permutant les deux (a accent grave): (rien)

UTF-8 is selected but "western (ISO-8859-1)" is at the top of the list. Here's another test after swapping them around (a grave accent): (nothing)

I'm going to submit this as a possible bug for Firefox. It might have something to do with VB though.

Fries are belgian actually. UK and US soldiers probably made the mistake of assuming they were french in WWII since french is also spoken in the south of Belgium.
