Default Server Crash Log

I asked this beofore and got answers before but have done a search and can't find the original thread. It is time to do this again. Here is the question:

I run 2 UT servers from the same box. Both are run as Windows Services. One never-ever crashes and the other does. I need to be able to run both servers and have a crash-log for both servers. Please tell me what I have to change in order to run them as services and have a crash log for each of them Thank you.

You'd better duplicate the UT server, so 2 UT directories would exist.

Default Just a little more please

Let me be clear so I don't get confused by your next answer. I have 1 PC that has two seperate installations of UT running as dedicated servers by way of running them as 2 seperate windows services.

That entry you gave me looks like a batch file. I used to run these servers from batch files before and had the crash logs functioning properly but when I stepped up to running them as services I lost the ability to see crash logs. I want to know if and what I need to add to my startup line for the service to create a crashlog. I don't think I'm allowed to use a hard return in the line which is required in the use batch files. Please let me know.

This is how my start up line looks right now:

server DM-Aberrance_Facility?game=BotPack.DeathMatchPlus?Mut ator=ArenaMatch.ArenaMatchMutator,BodenX2.KeepItCl ean,KickIdlersV2b.KickIdlers,MapVoteLA13.BDBMapVot e?Listen -server log=server.log port 7757

Can you show me what it needs to look like to get the crashlog functioning?
Thanks.

What do you mean by 'running as a service'? Running from a batch file "ucc server" means that UT runs as a service.

Default Service

When you run from a batch file UT minimizes down into the system tray. When you run it as a service, it runs in the background exactly like your print spooler or any other service. Go to control panel, administrative tools, services. It will run like those and will be restarted like those if they stop. It uses less memory and has several other advantages that fail to come to mind currently. I learned how to do it here but I see the write up on how to do it is gone now from the archives here. I'll give you more info as I locate it. Later!
