Damn i also have used a lot of time to get my UT2003 server running.

I just want to share the things i have tried, and maybe get some help with the last thing i need to do to get i totally working.

My setup is..
Windows XP on a Intel 4 and so on....
1 Zyxel Router 650 Serie.

I have as all of you open port 7777,7778............
BehindNAT=True in server ini file..... and so on

When i am starting my server, i also "did have" the "PING = N/A" in UT server browser.
BUT last night after reading some FAQ at Zyxel home page i found a command called " IP NAT LOOPBACK" They described it -- being able to look at web server from LAN.

After setting IP NAT LOOPBACK to ON. I WAS able in UT Server Browser, to se my server with PING and all the information normally written when higlighting a server.

The only problem i have now is, - when trying to connect i only get the black conneting picture " .....\\IP.IP.IP.IP and nothing more happens.
So if anyone have the gold for this i would be :p

Love, Peace and im sry for my english. :sigh: :sigh:

Hi RockNRoll,

Network Everywhere = Linksys

You can disable DHCP, of course.

The reason they say you must "DISABLE DHCP" is that assignments will not follow the FORWARDING settings you made, once your network is powered off. The forwarding from the previous session can become useless because the dynamic addresses may not assign the same way on a subsequent powerup. To counteract this, STATICALLY ASSIGN the IP addresses of any machines you need to FORWARD packets to.

You can assign PCs on your LAN STATICALY. Be sure to use IP addresses that would not be in conflict with those DHCP would assign, and there would be no problem if it is enabled or not.

Something like:
[list:3acb30ae82]DHCP:
[list:3acb30ae82]50 users starting at 192.168.0.100[/list:u:3acb30ae82]
PC1: (maybe your server)
[list:3acb30ae82]IP: 192.168.0.200
NetMask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 192.168.0.1[/list:u:3acb30ae82][/list:u:3acb30ae82]

This PC setup would require that your router support DNS relaying. I think it will. If it doesn't, just manually put the IP addresses of your DNS servers into the PC and it will work anyway. These don't usually change often, but remember to recheck them if you suddenly loose the ability to talk to the internet one day.

I hope this the line of thinking you were hoping someone would comment on. Let me know if it isn't on target and I'll try again.

Default Same problem......this is what i tried

Hi All,

Same problem here, server shows N/A and can't be joined from the ingame browser.

Here is what it does.... It shows in Gamespy and All seing eye and you can join from there.

tried to put the server in the DMZ so all ports are rederected right to the server but still doesn't work.

whas thinking and looking in the server INI file, could it be that it is conecting to the wrong masterservers or somthing like that?!?

well hope that someone can provide us with the answers soon :S

Thumbs up Server is showing now

Mij server is showing up now with a ping.....and I'm going to tell u how I fixed the problem.

It seems to be that the masterserver is changing the port number for some reason.

I changed the server port from 7777 to 8888

need to make the changes to your router and it shows up fine
here are my router setting:

Hope this helps u all

Good luck
