People See Server But....
every body can see the deticated server but they cont join the game? all it says is connecting please help im so confused  |

It depends on what kind of a server you are running.
For instance, I rent a server at GameServers and they have Linux servers.
I have to look in a file in my server directory for the commandline that is called mlds.sh .
I'm not sure about Windows servers.
Is this happening to everyone or just some?
What type of a server do you have?
Did you just start it or have you had it for awhile and it just started doing this?

ok to start off i jsut dumped everything and ound teh deticated server thing just 4 the server and i got that and my friends is helping me configure it and i ganna setup a dns cuz i got a router and thx hermskii yes my fire wall is still up crap!!! o and ye i just started my server and its deticated so thx and if it still doesnt work i will post and say so ok? o and any idea how i set up a dns or sumthing so my ip doesnt switch on them durign gameplay?

1st of all, please take your time writing the message to us and proof-read it for errors. It is hard to follow what you are saying and asking. About the DNS, there is nothing you need to do to stop your IP from changing except keep your router on if you have one. You are running a UT99 server right? I ask because your ports will change between each map if you don't change a certain setting in UT2004. This does not happen in UT99 though.

ok im sorry for my errors but yes its ut99 and i have a qestion again, now i got it all setup and its all working fine on my side but no one can connect unless it is another pc on my network of my router and yes i got a router... |

Ports
Did you forward all of the proper ports on your router for running a server? If not, see my manual at www.Hermskii.com
It's under the "How to Manual" link on the left. It is old but it is still good.
