Nexgen Id replication Security Issue
jst a though here, but can the NG ID be coupled with a IP Filter as well.
for example if someone is promoted to Admin through NG console , how about add the players IP to a .ini and cross referencing it when the player connects to server.
even set it to allow for dynamic detection , with warnings to .log ;

maybe that would help with this issue...

I found two bugs in the NexGen
1 And one not compatible with 140 emoticons assalt
2 the option to pause when no player leave is working out ..
someone had the same error?

Hey,
I'm using a modified version of nexgen 112L (my posts are some pages back (increased number of ban slots)).
Since yesterday evening nobody has been able to open the nexgen window.
(I think it was after I had banned a cheater who didn't appear on the banlist after that, but I'm not sure...)

What can we do to bring the windows back?

check your serveractors and packages
make a copy of your nexgen.ini and remove it and restart your server ( the sever will creat a new ini. that should solve the problem

I have another question, but I think this can't be solved...
Some banned people already know how they are banned by nexgen (ID in user.ini) and come back everytime after they were banned.
Is there any chance to avoid this and ban by (for example) HardwareID (I don't think that that is possible with an ut-actor)?

You can use the NexgenACE addon, which replaces client IDs with their HWID, although there can be issues sometimes. It should work for what you need though.

Do I need to run ace on the server for that?
I had some problems with ace and decided to not use it (maybe 0.9 later, but not 0.8).

I have the 112MHA version, I was playing with 3 people and i saw that other people appeared in the server but then dissapeared. My console said the clients id was already in use so it dissallowed entry into the server.
I have UTPURE7g installed and EUT1D_public fix
I don't know what is going on.. I need some help.

if you put EUT don't forget to diseable the Nexgenhud or your players will get kicked.

I did disable it. But some players are tryining to join and it says client id is already on and it denies them.

Have you try to use ZPPureEUT and not ZPPure7G ?
You have more recent EUT with EUTSource include ZPPureEU,UTPureRCEU

as we are playing lets say like 4 of us on the server i see people trying to join but the log says client denied id already in use [Nexgen].
I didnt know eut had utpure??

the id aready in use can happpenning when a player try to join the game and crash just after. it this happening wait 2-3 minute ans try again to join the game.
make a copy of your nexgen.ini and delete it. from your server.

Maybe it is just the case that the players copied an UT installation and therefore got the same client ID? If this is the case tell them to remove all sections with 'Nexgen' in their User.ini

Hey, something has annoyed me for a while and I don't know if it's Nexgen or not.
It seems that if you type things too quickly on a server you get blocked from talking for a second or two and have to type very slowly. I'm not talking about spamming speech binds, I just mean typing many sentences quite fast. It's very annoying because I type quickly and hate being blocked.
Is there something in the Nexgen.ini file which can completely *disable* "spam control" like this? I'd rather suffer a server full of spam than have players being blocked for seconds at a time.
