Apparently UTDC isn't compatible with Windows 7. This is something that Trouble would most likely have to address with an update.
What video render are you using?

Windows 7 x64 or just Windows 7?
I wouldn't know either, as I don't run either.

opengl didnt work at all with the beta drivers so I had to use a d3d, but I think recent drivers have fixed the opengl problem

confirmed.
Build 7000 had very bad open gl performance.
RC is working well with chris dohnals 3.5 open gl renderer.
UTDC has no issues with windows 7

D3D9 1.0, 1.1 and OpenGL 3.4. All of them crashed same way.
I was running it on Win7 x64 build 7100 btw.
Can soneone confirm that they have no problems with UTDC on x64 platform?

Not Win7 but I use VISTAx64 since a few weeks, didn't even bother with any other renderers but using D3D9 right from the start and it works perfect.

Yes it works fine with Vista x64 (SP1) since I've been running UT on it over a year.

I have windows 7 x64 and Vista x64 on other partitions and they both work fine with utdc - I do get the same crash randomly on mapchange (also on my xp pro install)

I used to run UT under Win7 x64 build 7000 and build 7057 successfully with d3d8r14 and d3d9r11. I didn't have any problems with UTDC. But I've now upgraded to build 7100 (stupid me) and I've tested everything I can think of. But I've never ever been able to play on a server with UTDC after my upgrade

Lucky you then, because I've tested it on multiple machines with same error
I also remember that it used to work on earlier x64 builds but not on this one.

I'm perfectly aware that I use pre-release software (it's RC btw), but it doesn't change the fact that UTDC has compatibility issues with it plus I have doupts this error will magically dissappear once Windows 7 has hit the RTM. That's the purpose of this thread - to early find out what causes this and how to resolve that. As I understand there are no known solutions so far..?
