What are you talking about jackass? How about offer some suggestions instead of being a stupid ass? Like your mother always told you, if you don't have anything to add don't add anything at all. Now get back in school!

8000 is the rate I have my server at for Client rate.
As for the failed connection, I was getting that alot at previous updates, but now I do not see them. What OS and Update are you running? Also are you behind a Cable/DSL Router/Firewall ?

I installed the latest patch onto my server...I assume if a client was the latest patch that they would not be able to connect.
I am running this in Windows 2003 Server on a Cable connection (3Mb down/1Mb up) behind a Netgear RT314 Router. I have the default Windows Firewall turned on but have opened all the ports that I opened on my router as well.
Should I maybe re-install the patch and knock down the Client speed to 8000? I am grasping at anything right now as this is driving me insane (if you couldn't tell )
Thanks for your help!!

You should not have to install the patch again if you have already done it. The max client speed needed for Internet play is 7500 but I set it to 8000. Another question, in your server.ini what are the settings in the following section ? Are they set like this
[IpDrv.MasterServerUplink]
DoUplink=True
UplinkToGamespy=True
SendStats=True
ServerBehindNAT=True
DoLANBroadcast=False

Everything is the same accept the NAT line. I have changed it to True and back to False as it seemed to make no difference.
I have been talking with a UT junkie here at work and he has been scouring my files and found a couple of things that I need to try:
First..
KickToMenu=Xinterface.UT2NetworkStatusMsg (I have no idea what this is and it was not in my .ini)
Second..
MapNamePrefixes= (your .ini doesn't have this equaling anything. At the very least you would want "MapNamePrefixes=DM" since you have a death match server. Mine reads "MapNamePrefixes=DM,DOM,CTF,BR,AS,ONS,VCTF,JB" . What that means is the maps with those prefixes will be the only maps available to MapeVote. Without any setting I don't know how it would react. You could try putting at least DM in and see what happens. I also noticed that you had an Oslaught game-config setup in MapVote too. You can put a semicolon in front of the GameConfig line to remark it out if you only want a DM server.)
I hope this helps...I'll post back if so...

[IpDrv.MasterServerLink]
LANPort=11777
LANServerPort=10777
MasterServerList=(Address="ut2004master1.epicgames .com",Port=28902)
MasterServerList=(Address="ut2004master2.epicgames .com",Port=28902)
I currently have a Netgear rt314...am about to switch it to a SonicWall...
The things I posted before did not work...still getting client disconnect after map change.

it could be your router is blocking the ports, go through your router and open or accept port=28902 after that i have no clue.

Hi,
I know the correct answer will probably have been posted a number of times, but I can't be bothered to wade through the immature shit that has followed the OP's question.
You do not have a CDKEY on your server. Go and get one.
From this site.
Regards,
Hostage.

I recall putting a CD key in my server but I could try again. Would this cause specifically the client disconnects after changing maps? If so, do you know why? I thought that if you didn't have a server cd key that the server would not start ...but again I am new to this so I am likely wrong.
Thanks!
