Linux Server: Dropping users

Well i am in a bit of a bind, as i haven't seen anyone having this issue yet. Atm i have a linux server running on one of my dedicated boxes. Specs are as Folows:

Cent-OS 4.5
AMD Sempron 2400+
1GB Ram
250 GB Sata HD
100mbit connection

Atm no firewall is in place, iptables is running but with all open minus an ip address we needed to ban.

We can get the server un-bz'd, and get it started with a horrendously long command string (, no biggie, i figure the final will eventually have a config ini which will fix that). Server can be connected to via ip address and even shows up in the server browser in game.

Now here is the Issue: After connecting to the game, either via command line using "open", or by clicking on the game in the server browser, it will proceed to bring the user into the game.... only problem is you cannot:

Get in vehicles
Pick up items
Shoot (well it makes the sound and weapons motion, but no recoil / graphics showing anything has been shot)
Or anything else requiring to get info from the server.

After this problem goes on for about 2 minutes, it will disconnect you from the server with the error "host has timed out". I'm at a loss to what is causing this one. Log file shows that it makes the initial tcp connection to my ip address, but the drops it about 2 minutes in, with no other error.

Any ideas?

Are you sure there are no iptables rules that are blocking UDP traffic?

Ja, other udp traffic like http and smtp is getting out of the box just fine. All iptables is blocking atm is a single ip over a certain port as he was abusing one of the server's resources.
