Greetings,

Just a Follow-up on my server's status. After the changes I mentioned I'm still running good and haven't had the N/A ping or the webadmin problem for a while now. Looks like for me, my solution worked.

It's just too bad I can't get bots in there so that I can play when there's nobody on.

MULTIHOME= is set up within the batch file you use to launch the game

i.e. ucc.exe server blah...blah...blah... -MULTIHOME=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx etc...

I dont know if it makes a difference or not, but the way I enabled the multihome option was not -multihome, it was in the server parms.. Here is an example of my server run line in my bat file:

Again, im not sure if that has anything at all do do with your LAN problem, but i'm just tryin to help.

ucc server CTF-Chrome?Game=XGame.xCTFGame?GameSpeed=1.00?WeaponSt ay=True?Translocator=True?FF=0.00?GoalScore=15?Tim eLimit=25?MaxLives=0?AutoAdjust=False?GameStats=Fa lse?multihome=64.8.71.205?MinPlayers=0?MaxPlayers=12?MaxSpectators=2?AdminNa me=xxxxxx?AdminPassword=xxxxxx?difficulty=1 -server -log=Server1.log

I dont have any lan clients, so I have no way to test if that's the problem or not. It was just an idea, and maybe that would fix your problem.

You're gonna have to test it yourself though unfortunately.

The porting problem should be solved in the 2179 patch in beta now. Initial reports claim the patch solves this and the webadmin problems as well as some memory leak issues involving certain maps.

Thanks for Stickying this thread. I guess we are done, thanks everyone who posted possible solutions here and in the Epic forums.

And thanks Epic for rushing to the server communities side by solving this in only four patches.

http://www.beyondunreal.com/dl_notes...ch2181beta.exe

Looks like this will fix our problems....I wish 2181 was backcompatable to 2166..

Networking
- improved cheat protection
- spectating improvements
- single pass through actor list for first pass relevancy determination for all connections. Improves server CPU utilization by 20% to 30% for servers with large numbers of players
- hide passwords in URL
- added bAdminCanPause configurable property to GameInfo. It's true by default. To change it to false, add bAdminCanPause=false to the [Engine.GameInfo] section of your UT2003.ini file.
- fixed precision problems with ping calculation
- fixed adminsay bringing up MOTD on clients
- fixed bots not properly losing player enemies when players log out of net games.
- Fixed LAN broadcast bug which caused problems in the LAN tab when multiple UT2003 servers were run on the same machine
- TcpLink/UdpLink eventReceivedBinary fix.
- Fixed Bug in CheckIPPolicy
- fixed port swapping bug.
- maxspectators can be passed on command line
- Fix for Admin's Managed Groups
- Fixed Admin names showing multiple times when in multiple groups
- Added several game options to Web Admin
- Fixed Web Admin SetPlayInfo so that it won't be called twice on DMMutator
- Fixed MutatorFillPlayInfo so that it chains. Do not override MutatorFillPlayInfo, just override FillPlayInfo
- Fixed MD5 package protection so that it would stop resetting all RevisionLevels to 0 on loadup
- Fixed Web Admin Friendly Fire defaults
- Fixed Kick Command in AdminINI
- Changed the seperator character for the in-game admin menu from | to ESC
- Made Extended Console stop complaining when a MusicManagerClass wasn't defined.
- Fixed UTServerAdmin so it would pass PreQuery and PostQuery calls to mods

heh, no matter what happens, my server is doomed to report N/A. Our network admin has disabled pinging at the firewall to our network. :/

WebSlinger:
Your admin may have blocked pings, but what he might mean is that you have ICMP traffic blocked. I do not believe that this will cause a problem for UT2003 because i'm pretty sure that it uses UDP traffic and a port on your computer to do its pings.
