Smile Opengl freezing issue and lag

Hi all Im not sure if this is a common problem or not but im having a bit of trouble with my ut and was wondering if any of you could help me.
I recently installed ut again and downloaded the latest opengl drivers v35 and setup the unreal tournament .ini file to a good standard, the game itself runs well however when the map changes my game always freezes and I have to ctl alt del to close it down and rejoin its becomming quite a pain. I`ve tried using older drivers for opengl but I always end up with the same result, for some reason when I switch to d3d9 the game seems very sluggish, on both opengl and d3d9 im getting about 60fps in timedemo 1 i dont know if this is normal or not?
my comp specs are:
Intel Coreā„¢2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz @ 1600MHz (Packard Bell BV MCP73 mainboard) RAM 3GB
NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GS (768MB)
Running windows Vista home premium 32b

I have absolutly no idea whats causing this problem i`ve tried everything I can think of, on a side note im getting an f6 ping of 100 with a 10mb connection im told this might be due to bad fps is this true? any help would be much appretiated

Description=
Go into your nVidia Control Panel>Manage 3D settings>Program Settings and add an UnrealTournament setting. At the bottom of the settings window, set 'Vertical Sync' to 'Force off'. The 60fps you are getting is being forced by your vid card and this setting turns that off.

In the opengl section above, set 'FrameRateLimit' to whatever your refresh rate on your monitor is.

For your net issue, ping the IP address of the server you are trying to connect to. Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt. Type into the prompt 'ping serverIP' without the marks and hit enter. Count the hops. It could be that the server is farther away than you think. Have a good one.

thanks guys working perfectly now, im still using opengl v35 is v32 better? I am using draco`s setting and have also added ut to the nvidia 3d panel it seems to be working great now thankyou very much

It's just a matter of personal preference. Since machines vary and configurations are never the same, you just need to find the one
that provides the best performance for you. Like for instance, If I try to run version 3.5 opengl or any of the Direct3dX drivers, I get mouse lag. I can turn right just fine but turning left takes twice as long. Opengl 3.4 runs smooth for me but I see my fps rate drop drastically to 30 fps or less on big maps where 3.2 stays at 50+ fps. Have a good one.

That is for sur your setting redenrer but not your redenrer.
This error is typical default setting D3DX.
