Skins aren't downloaded from redirected url
Hi,
I'm using the uz.gameserver.net server to upload my compressed files.
All maps are downloaded great on client computers but my custom made skins aren't, they are downloaded locally from my server with a poor netspeed.
The skin int and utx name are the same and they are compressed.
I use for example this name SoldierDIE16Destro and Sodier[DIE16]memberskinIT.
does anybody know why my skins are downloaded locally from my server and not from the redirected URL.
Thanks

Hey,
Are the filese located on the redirect site? If they are made by you then you will have to add the .uz files to the redirect. What are the names of all the skins you are trying to add?

skins
Hi,
All the skins are compressed and so has the uz extension.
The skins names are in compressed name:
SoldierDIE16Destro.utx.uz
Soldier[DIE16]memberskinTEAM16V.utx.uz
Soldier[DIE16]memberskin.utx.uz
Soldier[DIE16]memberskinIT.utx.uz
And if you look on the uz.gameserver.net you see these filenames standing, so the upload was fine.

Perhaps there's a problem with case sensitivity although this shouldn't be the case.
P.S: Out of curiosity, what sort of speed do you usually get off gameservers.net ?

Please post your server.ini (default unrealtournament.ini). Most importantly look for the [IpDrv.HTTPDownload] section and give us that.
Case sensitivity is not a problem with Windows based servers. Only Linux servers are case sensitive.

Skins download
The speed from the maps and textures of gameserver.net is great, very fast, only if you want to update a file that's not possible if the file name is the same.
My server.ini
[IpDrv.TcpNetDriver]
AllowDownloads=True
ConnectionTimeout=200.0
InitialConnectTimeout=500.0
AckTimeout=1.0
KeepAliveTime=0.2
MaxClientRate=7000
SimLatency=0
RelevantTimeout=5.0
SpawnPrioritySeconds=1.0
ServerTravelPause=4.0
NetServerMaxTickRate=20
LanServerMaxTickRate=35
DownloadManagers=IpDrv.HTTPDownload
DownloadManagers=Engine.ChannelDownload
MaxConnPerIPPerMinute=5
LogMaxConnPerIPPerMin=False
AllowPlayerPortUnreach=True
LogPortUnreach=False
[IpDrv.HTTPDownload]
RedirectToURL=http://uz.gameservers.net/
ProxyServerHost=
ProxyServerPort=3128
UseCompression=True
I hope someone can help me with this

I can’t find SoldierDIE16Destro.utx.uz on http://uz.gameservers.net/
I did find the other 3, but if it fails to find a file on the redirect site it wont go back there and look for the other files in the ServerPackage line.
SoldierDIE16Destro.int.uz was there, but .int files doesn’t get downloaded to the clients so it’s no meaning to compress them

Skins download
Ok thanks m8
What i did now is looked at my server.ini and compressed everything what is loaded in my serverpackage and put those on de upload internet server.
I'm going to see if this works and let this forum know.
I didn't know that if 1 package failed to download from redirected server then that all other packages won't be gained from that server again.
I thought that every package was sent with urlserver:...uz and if the redirected server didn't respond then was pushed localy and for the next package the url server was contacted again, but so you see it doesn't happen this way but if the url server failed to respond then all left package will be pushed locally.
