crash logs
Hi All
I was running a windows server before, Now i have changed my system to linux so i have installed ut 99 linux, the problem i'm having is i dont have a server.log.
Has this log got another name under linux. I have seen in my ini it says ServerLogName=server.log.
in my log folder all i have is : NetGamesUSA.com/ngWorldStats/logs/Unreal.ngLog.2013.11.02.00.51.52.7787.log and Logs/ucc.init.log
also can i stop netgamesusa.com from logging.

The log is what you set it to in the startup command. But be aware that on Linux the logs can't be truncated. You'll need to test this.
I use these variables in my startup script:
LOG="/home/david/.loki/ut/System/server.log"
CRASHLOG="/home/david/.loki/ut/System/crash.log"
and run ucc-bin with these options:
multihome=192.168.1.2 ini=server.ini log=server.tmp | tee $LOG
The '| tee $LOG' makes whatever is in the console dumped into the log to take account that ucc may truncate it and give a full log output.
You'll need to also have a command to rename the log in case of crash etc:
cp $LOG $CRASHLOG
Put that after the ucc-bin command.

Check that ucc-bin exists in /home/andy/ut/System/.
You have to go in that directory when start with ./ucc-bin.
Or you start your server in this way from anywhere :

I'd like to point ut that "?Listen" is pointless when using ucc. That parameter is only used to run a listen server from the game client.

I have installed ACE and it crashes my server. but i don't know why because the server is not giving me a crash log. And whatever i do it wont create the log.

It should pipe the output to the file /home/andy/ut/console.log.

What is the location of your ut, /home/david/.loki/ut or /home/andy/ut/ ? Perhaps you have to adjust the path so it fits your installation.

What is the location of your ut, /home/david/.loki/ut or /home/andy/ut/ ? Perhaps you have to adjust the path so it fits your installation.

Sry about that, i copied the CRASHLOG="/home/david/.loki/ut/System/crash.log" from above, in my ucc it has the correct path : /home/andy/ut/
also my ini file is above.
